Edited by: Tarr Mahoud on 27/06/2005 13:04:39 Dont knwo if this is the right place, but..
I just made some mission testing on sigi and recognized, that the NPC-bounties have need reduced by alot. Example?: A Corpus Dark Priest (Blood Raider) has been a 750K BS before, afaik (controlled at eve-i.com ObEx) and now it is a 400K BS. Ups. Same with all other ships within the mission.
So, are ships lowers that way, or just Blood and is this a new "feature",if, i really dont like it :D or just some testing on sigi..
thanks alot, tarr

uh a confirmation for a "Dev" would be nice on this one... But if this is going to be like this on the live patch, with the nerf of the torps, making bosses more harder (really hard to solo them) making bounty more low.. Well mission just whent "fubar".

A friend of mine killed a 400k BS a few days ago on TQ, I believe. Was the first one he'd ever seen. I suspect it may be something trixsy with the agent mission NPCs, not a bounty nerf. ---

Alright. I just made a mission for Caldari against Guristas. It seems all Normalspace ships still have the same bounty as always, BUT the deathspace versions have significantly decreased bounties. A Dead Pith Massacrer had been a 2,75M BS ans is now a 1,5M one (Duo of Death Mission). Btw the missions are now really a little bit tougter, so be acarefull everybody.
For me, the reduction of the DS-Bounties is a more important change for whole economie and the live in EVE than the missile nerf.
So i really want to hear a dev or some official and what he says about it.
thanks

Oh, this seems like a very good change to balance lvl4 missions and complexes against other ways of income.

If the lv 4 missions are going to be harder that means you'll need more people on them than usual right?
In that case that means less bounties any way since they get split up equally among all participants.
Lowering them just will make more people get less isk which isn't right at all. If the mission takes more people you;ve already nerfed the bounties by simply having another 2-3 ships along.
As it is torps cost 300-500 each, after the nerf players will go through twice as many at least. (usually it's 800+ per lv 4 if they're long ones)
If the enmies are tougher everyone will be using more ammo, thus nerfing bounties just makes ammo expenditure hurt worse. (and amarri laser based vessles even mroe profitable)
It just doesn't seem balancing at all to make them tougher but worth less. Tough and same is much more logical and balanced.
Also for those that use missions as their income and have spent months and months training skills to fly said missions there really is no "viable alternative" to making isk. (A combat bs specialist isn't going to mine worth **** compared to a dedicated miner that spent all those millions of sp's in barges, production effiencey, etc...)
Why should the combatives take a blow to the wallet when we already have high drains on wallet from ammo and high ship turn over rates? (miners lose a lot less ships than mission runners)
If this is a valid change then it ranks up there as one of the most pointless yet.

Yeah. I am really upset about it too. Imagine. No more unlimited and totally risk-free isk for agent runners.
Boo hoo. My heart bleeds for you. Now you will have to either a) go to 0.0 and hunt NPCs, or b) team up with some corp mates, or c) give up.
Lars.

THATS THE MOST STUPID THING I'VE HEARD. I Don't know how many battleships we have lost running l4 missions in the last few weeks. As a corp probibly 20.

Well his corp name is "Special Circumstances" perhaps that says it all?
The changes as I've seen them on the test server are going to be a major change for all even the 0.0 l33t people. /me warms up the inty for some fast runs past the now lame Raven blockades...
Oh and edit:
a) go to 0.0 and hunt NPCs,
isn't going to be any easier taking NPC's in the belts down then the misson rats; I've tried on the test server and they are hard to hit now as well.
or b) team up with some corp mates,
Well duh, but many do that now unless they have 5 hours to kill - did a lvl 3 extrav last night and took me 3 solo
or c) give up.
I'm sure you will

went deep into syndicate earlier, saw some BS's with 40k bounty, i'm guessing this is a bug, as the cruiser support was worth more
