Minerals opened the week on the up swing with sellers capitalizing on the trend away from mineral recovery of many industrial corporations. Low end minerals still hold onto the best bet for low risk good return operations, however based upon both sellers and buyers there is not enough recovery operations providing those minerals.
If this sort of trend continues the already high costs of ships and equipment will force non-industrial corporations back to the asteroid fields. The only way to avoid this upward spiral is for these two groups to provide each other support and dispense with the constant hostilities. This is a true symbiotic relationship and not one of adversity.

Generally a reporting service for the general economy would be out of this world. THe data is there-CPP just needs to build us a Pivot-like module where we can create our own reports.

Was the "nerd" etiquette reffering to me or the initial poster? If you mean the latter than I'm sorry you can't appreciate thevaluable service Cristobal is providing. I'm glad to see someone take the initiative and develop this service. IMO, this should be organized in a more formal basis, providing various reporting and consulting services to corporations that need it.
It definately is a market niche that no one has paid enough attention to.

Alexander Karatis -- Thank you for your considerate reply.
Other areas of interest currently are:
- Advanced Materials
- Processed Materials
- Raw Materials
- Ice Products
However, before I begin posting this information I wanted to see what sort of reception the mineral prices received.
These listings are for the Genesis Region only, as I strongly feel that the overall market closely follows the directions set in that region.

BTW, you might want to stick to a basic rule which sais positive is green and negative is red. That is, numerically, not "good" or "bad". So if a price has a risen, and that is generallybad, you should still display it with green.
It's much less distractive and objective this way. Remember a report is a report, it's not a reccomendation or an opinion! You can add those after!
Just a friendly note!
Keep up the great work!

BTW, since you are comparing two prices, (start of week vs end of week) what you are showing is the "change" or "variance" not the trend. Trend reffers to something broader and usually involves a line graph indicating activity over a wide timescale (in our case months).
BTW, if you're collecting raw data, you might as well collect it into an excel spreadsheet so as to build a good database. Excel will also allow you to turn the data into pivot tables thereby giving you A LOT of flexibility as to how to display it.(different tables, graphs etc.)
Pivot table and cubes in general are very simple to make but if you've never worked with them before let me know and I'll make an example file for you.

Time for a website boys. I would think the Wall street journal of Eve.
Boy I would rather be reading an economic webpage where I can see editorials and every region stats and CEO interviews and information on tech II items and where ships are being sold what prices. I do not want non role player comments.. Time to throw some isk around, soo I can see whats going on where! Wheres the website?? --------------------------

I was thinking of starting a weekly report (which would cost 5-10m a week for a subscription) on T2 minerals, trends, and profitability of POS options. -- Dark Shikari: POS Consultant!

That's a great idea...|But could corporations be the subscribers, or would it be a different account for each of their pilots? (That's a rather steep price if its the latter).

Updated trend listing.
I noticed some interest in prices for Ice Products, and that information is currently available in the same format as the mineral trends are for the Genesis Region.
If the interest continues I can begin posting that information at any time.
Also available is trend listings for Advanced Materials, Processed Materials, and Raw Materials.
While there is a possibility that this information could possibly be a money generator I have not gathered it for that purpose.
The purpose is to breath new life into this market segment and to establish Genesis, specifically the Yulai system as the trend setter for price setting for both sellers and buyers. Knowledge is a invaluable tool, and how you use it makes the difference.
And yes Harisdrop, I would rather see that sort of infomation than just a general base average like we have had in the past, along with editorials and interviews from those that are makeing it work and how they do it.

Well basicly a webpage where you enter your numbers, the page could even calc around lill bit, percents, trends what ever and ppl would be able include it in theire own page like they do it with the Eve News Feeds
If i get lill bit help with the formulars its not that complex at all.

Oron,
Sounds very interesting, however I am very limited in my knowledge of such things. Having such a service would be fantastic, expecially if it was IGB friendly.
I do not have access to a hosting service that provide dynamic tools that would provide the ability to make real time changes, and that I feel would be an absolute necessity. As it stands, everything I can provide via my service is very static.

I've written a PHP/MySQL application to do exactly that during the weekend. Graphs don't display properly in the IGB yet, but I'm working on it.
More info soon.
