Hopefully by now we all know what the problems are, and hopefully the devs do too. I am sick of whining about it, I'm also sick of just waiting for it. First year of this game was pretty much one giant subscription beta, thanks to SSI. Give me a game that has:
- NO INSTAS - all ships 10x their hp - 10x aggro timer - no target painters - a scaling of all ship signature sizes, where bs guns can't even come close to hitting cruisers, and cruiser guns can't even touch frigs - agility and top speed penalties to wcs - scan probes that don't show up on the scanner - no more basic insurance, period - 3 week insurance duration, not twelve - no more solo lvl 4 missions, period - huge nerf to number of battleships spawning in high sec missions - larger stacking penalty to dmg mods - tech II hardeners - no instawarp on pods for pilots that log out - ability to control the map through sovereignty - more npc isk sinks - all 0.0 high end pve content should be hidden
What I see coming out of those changes is a drastic slowdown of combat so we can actually do things like tactics. Tanking, capacitor warfare, EW and support cruisers would actually have a chance. Things like DPS would actually come into play, and having lvl 5 gun spec skills might amount to something in combat. Travel would be slowed down to the point where running around the map for kills is not an option. Markets would actually exist, both tech 1 and tech 2, outside of Yulai/Niya. Empire would be HUGE, and access to 0.0 wouldn't be as insanely difficult thanks to NWO. People would be encouraged to take control and fight for certain areas of space.
Can I have your stuff?
You want:
* Bring fleet combat to a near-complete standstill, and a complete numbers game. Movinmg outside your base without KNOWING you have numerical superiority being suicide * NO, ZERO, NONE point to anything under the size of BS except a few scouts * A complete end to any sort of non-war fighting in Empire * Insurance which is COMPLETELY worthless, rather than only mostly * Changes to the mission/NPC system which would take man-months of work * A different stacking mod for a single set of module, adding complexity and confusion for very little return * Even LESS return on attacking enemy in 0.0 because they have defence, so you need an even BIGGER blob to have a hope in hell of doing any damage. * A culture of bills where anyone moderately rich is going to lose all the ISK in a few months, but anyone REALLY rich is laughing and * PvE content which only the alliances in place cna enjoy. The alliances you just made it impossible to attack.
Sorry, I don't see CCP handing out ponys. Deep end, meet DigitalCommunist
I agree with you, especially the last part! May I also add - or remind the older eve players - that bs require a lot of skills to be used efficiently! There might be a lot of people that have BS but how many of them can use them to their full potential? Certainly not as many as some would have us believe! BS are easily lost and not so easily replaced! I was moderately wealthy but the loss of 2 bs ( I mainly run missions or hunt) in a few days has dented my wealth significantly even with insurance (does anyone ever mentions that the modules are not insured!!! but then I supposed they must be cheap! )...It also strikes me as incredibly selfish that some people would see an entirely class of ships (or its access) modified and restricted just to fit the way their play....Mission runners, hunters and the like are completely and totaly forgotten here! I can see no other reason for this post but the self interest of the richest players, corporations and alliances!!!
