Thank'ee kindly. Surprisingly, civility largely seems to be the rule of the day on this subject.
Are we sure we're still in EVE-O forums? Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing. |

No, you've entered the Anti-EvE forums, everything that happens here is the exact opposite of what normally happens.
At this point, I would normally make a disparaging remark towards someone...............I am forced to refrain.
The single biggest danger to EVE is the proliferation of ALTS! Kill an alt today!

i did, but then again i couldn't give a monkey's arse about poses since they provide me no personal benefit over an npc station. the joys of being a miner, you can get everything out of the game by being in an npc corp! "100k for notifications of stupidity, i love this bounty system." |

Might want to rethink that... Who consumes your minerals? Industrialists. Where do they work? Out of a POS. Or out of several.
Better POS, easier POS, more attractive POS == More POS == Higher demand for your minerals == More ISK for you. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing. |

then ship prices go up and i still have to mine for 10 hours to buy the same ship. mineral prices going up and down really isn't that important to me.
it's nice you're trying to see the bigger picture, but you're not seeing the whole picture. when trit was 3.4 isk/unit charons were 800m, now trit is at just over 6 per unit and charons are 1.6 bill, or more. hence, i still have to mine for the same amount of time to buy a charon no matter what isk/hour i was making. While true, to an extent, the fact remains that what happens to the POS does impact you, albeit not as strongly as it impacts others.
Among other things, changes in prices of minerals mean changes in the amount of competition you'll face to collect those minerals, changes in the gank-rates, and a whole slew of other things. Working out of a n00bcorp does not isolate you - and only partially insultates you - from the fact of POS production. That Charon you mentioned? Almost certainly produced by an industrialist working out of a POS. No one in EVE is an island.
Up to you to decide whether those changes are positive or negative. Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing. |
