So for the last hour or so, every single time I try to activate a module on anything, EVE crashes sending me back to my pretty desktop.
I can sit docked, or in space, or use a module which doesn't need a lock just fine, but try to shoot something and oh dear, crashed!
What's going on?

Have you tried switching off all effects and turret effects in the game?
(ALT, SHIFT, CTRL + E = All effects off/on)
(ALT, SHIFT, CTRL + T = All turret effects off/on)
Failing that, could be a problem with memory on PC or graphics card drivers...

Tried both, tried turning off sounds, no difference.
As to it being my machine, uhh it's been doing this since I started logging in today, not before.

Is it Windows XP?
I had a similar error message a while ago when corrupt RAM memory wouldn't allow the PC to start. I ended up resolving it by updating the motherboard's BIOS: What a pain!

It was happening to me over the weekend ... I lost lord knows how many drones to CTDs. Now it's working fine again ... EVE does some strange things sometimes.
