CCP... CCP... OH C... C... P...
How I want to love everything you guys do - Upon hearing the concept of DUST 514 about a year ago I was so exciting for you all, And yet here we are...
The Idea to integrate an FPS with the EVE Online Universe... BONKERS AWESOME GREAT *insert typical EVE Online player CCP Love comment*
To sum up my experiences in DUST 514 to date:
HORRIBLE
How I wanted this to work and yet CCP you gone done it again'!!! Your obsessed with over complicating things to try and beat your competition. How can I even suggest this FPS to my friends to try and lure them into EVE Online... You had a great idea and you f***ed it
I play an FPS to surprise surprise SHOOT **** and have quick nice fun. Yet you make me sit here reading paragraphs upon paragraphs between endless popup windows and a horrible user interface browsing markets for some bull **** .2 extra damage rifle with the ISK I have because there is no way in hell im ever buying into this AUR crap for this.
REMOVE SHIPS and VEHICLES they can come LATER
The game is so unbalanced I cannot play through a map without throwing down the remote and quitting to BF or COD The aiming system is horrible the control layout is terrible yet this is probably due to the amount of damn crap your trying to throw at me when I just want to run around shooting people.
Plus not every map has to be a vast expanse into the deep abyss... take one from the book of COD for example the most popular maps? SMALL ONES quick ACTION.
SUMMARY
MAKE a simple nice USER FRIENDLY FPS YOU have a great idea but your trying to do everything to fast release a balance game and build upon it you have the time! THEN once you have a player base because I doubt your going to have a large one at its current state start implementing all your advanced wizardry
Many of you complaints seem very generic FPS complaints and I think you might in fact be a troll whose not actually played dust but maybe watched some kind of unauthorised video. Because Dust does have issues and you have hit none of them in the head. However I bite.
You mention CoD so I do I see your problem.
You want some kind of shallow halo shooter experience and dust isn't trying to do that. In fact without going into too many details; I would argue that, as a result persistent mewling of a vocal minority and outcasts from other games, dust has suffered as a result.
Also the game is more user friendly than ever (see above). Sorry it doesn't have a big go button for you. Perhaps you think assuming that a company that credits its players with some intelligence is terrible sin? Who knows.
Basically, I disagree with almost everything you have said (way to rant btw) but I feel that you are in the minority. Of the present beta players I would say, from those I have spoken to, 60% are satisfied more or less with Dust, perhaps they point out the odd imbalance here and there, right or wrongly. 20% are habitual complainers that have moaned their way through every game they have played in, quick to point out its shortfalls and yet refusing to leave (please leave). The last 20% are a sort of transient group they don't see dust as anything special and come back and forth.
