[1] My first thought would be....this is great! This may just fix the economy and inspire people to guard belts as the royds 'fatten'. My second thought would be... Wasnt the 'moving all valuable royds out of empire space' thing supposed to do just that? Yes indeed, and did it? NO, since that time ship prices have fallen to productioncosts. Will this fix the market? NO, i dont see how it would! Then what would fix the market? Nothing really, its screwed up because of people using the weaknesses in the gama when it was first released. Its like using a money cheat on a recourse manager! Nothing will fix the burrent economy. ITS DOOMED, start accepting it! There is only 1 thing that could fix the current economy. And this is how the story goes... -nerf bp copys -make originals MORE expensive OR make them availeble in smaller numbers. There should always be copys availeble to new upcoming corps or solo builders BUT it should be very hard to get these! Maybe a very rare loot drop (for ships) that could then be optained through the player market or the ingame market with a sell order. -charwipe. This maybe drastic but unless you feel like retroactivly deleting or nerfing all the blueprints currently within labs or hangers then a charwhipe is the only way to go. Conclusion: Number one is possible although very hard and will **** off alot of people. Number two is impossible without a charwhipe OR without deleting every single bp in every single hanger/lab in the game wich will **** off a huge amount of people in a REALLY bad way. Number three is impossible without losing about 80% of the current playerbase wich would ultimitle result in the failure of CCP as a business and scrap the project EVE is now AND leave a BIG stain in the gameindustry and a big warning sign to customers...DO NOT BUY GAMES THAT ARENT FINISHED! In other words...do not buy ANY games. So all in all...fixing the market is impossible at this point. Do what you like. The EVE we have now is the EVE we will have forever. No amount of content/changing tules/bugfixing will ever turn EVE into a diferent game. If you dont like it, then leave. If you like, good for you! I neither like nor dislike it. There is no perfect mmorpg. And i doubt there ever will be. Your options are... -Pay for 1 year of betatesting while the game is being built -Start playing after 1 year and deal with the fact that EVERYONE is WAY ahead of you and that your entering this game wil be VERY VERY dificult and that you will never ever catch up the the people who have been following the 'pay to beta' program. I think thats all i can say about yet another 'hot' topic on a bug. Now people are begining to see good things in a bug and even treating it like the second coming. This is getting seriously rediculous now! CCP, why not hear your playerbase once more and keep this 'bug' in your code? This would be very good and if all the bugs in EVE were to be so in favour with the playerbase AND if there was finally some more content in EVE then frigate->cruiser->battleship or omber->omber->omber->kernite->crokite->ark, then maybe you would have a great and content rich, fun and lasting gameplay in EVE. This is not me trolling. This is me telling the truth. Just yesterday someone in my corp quit the game because he felt that EVE was contentless. I am begining to agree with him. Furthermore id like to point out that about 90% of the people leaving EVE claim to generally 'be bored' with EVE or just get right down to the point and say there is no content. I think that for MANY of us who have been in EVE since tranq went live and also for those of us who had been betaing before that, the time has come now to feast on the new content. My only reason for buying EVE retail was 1) i liked the game 2) the promise of the new content was a grand one indeed and would have made a great game. Now that it is retail and we are over 2 months into it i can honestly say that there has been NO adition of content on a 'diferents making' level (adding new energised armor upgrades is not my idea of life saving content). Instead CCP has been killing bugs, killing more bugs, killing bigger bugs, killing annoying bugs, killing ulgy bugs, balancing projectile, balancing hybreds, balancing lasers, nerf nerf nerf nerfn nerf nerf, change the rules, change em again, change the whole thing ONCE AGAIN, say this, do that, say a whole diferent thing, implement something them patch the day after to patch the patch. BUSY BUSY BUSY I simply do not see there being any time to add the much needed content for atleast another 4 months O_o When this game went live everyone was under the impression that ccp would continue to work on EVE. When we heard this we were thinking... Edited by: Ulendar on 12/07/2003 10:21:15

[3] Cool, new stuff, new events, maybe new solarsystems or discovery of new regions (that strange and mystical new region recently discovered that may bring doom to anyone going into it) maybe some new ore types and new ships being discovered ect ect. We did not however think that CCP saying 'we will keep working on EVE' would mean that you would keep balancing, changing rules, changing EVERYTHING and keep fixing more and more bugs that are implemented with each new patch. Some of the 'promises' that were made to us during beta... - Customer support - CONTENT..AND A HELL OF ALOT OF IT! - Corp management features (some made it, most didnt) - Interbus (so we got shuttles now O_o) - Towing (not a peep) - Stock market (not a peep) I could go on for a very long and boring time but most of it basically falls under 'content'. Now im just thinking about this... Say CCP hire 50 extra hands and somehow manage to add all the promised content, squash all the bugs, balance the whole game and add all the new features they planned in the course of a year... Would it be enough? My guiss would be....yes it would keep people going for maybe 3 months... But will it REALLY be enough? No...we need GM organised events wich would be treated in character... And no with that i dont mean 4 concord battleships blasting the nuts off m0o. I mean interactive events! Sashas legion is planning a major raid on amatar space...oh no everyone rush to help or evacuate asap! LARGE space monsters sighted near passari (nono not j0rt in his dominix), everyone not able to fight evacuate asap...everyone who is ready for combat and very well armed proceed with great caution! Then after the spacemonsters are dead... Research teams!!! And what do they find? They find that the spacemonster used some kind of very advanced neural network to survive in space and that this neural network could be used to build better cpu's/implants/whateva. The process of this research would give you a blueprint to this. Hence the people wich are on the spot would have first acces to these bp's AND more then likely some bigger corps would like to have a piece of that no? And would even be prepared to blow up anything wich comes near the monsters carcass no? Maybe an extensive way to introduce new tech but it sure as hell would be fun!

[5] To make my point further... (ok this is getting very long winded to be a reply O_o) CCP, you are making a very boring and very unexciting recource management arena atm... As a ceo of a corp i talk to alot of people who are thinking about signing up with a corp.. Most of these people are just looking to advance themselves faster with corp support (try mining 0.0 by yourself!). And how do these people want to advance themselves? Very simple! I want a battleship! I want a battleship! I want a battleship!!! ALOT of people who have been in the game have their personal goals set to I WANT A BATTLESHIP and most of the newer people who join the game have there goals set to I WANT A CRUISER AND THEN AFTER THAT A BATTLESHIP! WHAT?? i ask you...will happen once all these people get their battleships??? What will be the next thing to mine for? Maybe a few things. And with this i would like to say i fully agree with what many of the m0o people have stated... People will when they finally have their battleship go hunting down some people they dont like, they will hunt em, pod them, hunt them some more, pod them some more... FUNFUNFUN What happens when they finally get bored blasting people? NOTHING! nothing happens...your bored, youve reached your goals and beyond this goal there is nothing more you can do for personel advancement...you will be advanced 'period' and whats left to do when youve lvl'ed up? nada, nothing, zip, didly! There is no next level to gross into. There is no harder dungeon with harder monsters to take on. Eveybody is flying around in battleships with the best equipment and everyone is a bilionair. No goals, no more reaosn to play once you get bored with your new battleship toy. Some find other goals wich they make up for themselves in an extensive roleplay enviroment but seriously...there HAS to be more then that in all of these 5000 solarsystems no? Is mining ark and flying around in a battleship really the most rewarding aspect of this game? If it is then DAMN! That IS sad. CONTENT Is what we need.. HARDER TO REACH GOALS Is what we need! GM ORGANISED EVENTS Is what we need... Seriously.. i wouldnt mind if everything became harder! EVEN mining should be exciting and hard to do. Cause right now mining is boring! Trading is boring! Looting is boring! Everything should become more dangerous, harder to do and above all more exciting. As to this 'bug' of farming royds...i like it! Youl have to activly guard a belt even when there are no miners. youl have to coordinate your efforts. youl have to keep the belt free from pirates. All in all this could be a good thing wich may lead to some conflicts about ownership of a belt! This COULD be good but if it will be...who knows??! This might turn into a flop all together. EVE does not need to be streched in lifespan...agreed getting battleships should be harder BUT for piece sake...dont make everything longwinded and BORING! Just add some exciting things...im sure everyone will like it!
