Is it just me, or does the Autopilot work maybe only 0.0000000000000001% of the time? i have had everything from the Autopilot turning off every so often on its own, to the ship comming out of warp near a jumpgate, aproaching it, yet never actualy jumping. And i have even had the Autopilot, when told to go to one solersystem, Act like im trying ot get the the one im ALREADY in.
Anyone else have these problems?

Yep, have the same problems all the time.
It's been like this for weeks now - and is probably going to be the reason I quit this game if it's not fixed shortly.

I have experience some of the same things. Here are some workarounds:
1. If the AP fails to jump it is probably due to lag. When the AP tries to jump at around 10K out the jump request fails and a message asking you to get within 7500m comes up. You will need to do a manual jump. If you hear "Autopilot Jumping" but not the jump sound then all you need to do is right click and jump, once you are in the next system the AP will pick up where it left off. 2. I have no idea why it turns off, I am having trouble with it not turning off when I reach a way point. Since it tells you it is turning it off with an audible message, it is easy to just click the AP button again. 3. One of the problems I have seen is when you have been logged on for a while it will flip your route around and display that the next system is the one that should be the next to last system. Since it can't find the star gate to warp to it just sits there. When this happens I log off and then back on and it clears up.
I know this is a pain in the a** but it's not worth quiting this wonderful game over.
Good luck,

Strictly speaking, this isn't a Skills topic... however, I share your frustrations... __________________

If it's switches the gates around, you can manually go to the next gate in the jump list and it should auto-correct. or failing that, remove the destination and reset it .. easier and safer than re-logging in the middle of space. | Join eve-webring.com to promote your site. |

If your thinking of quitting the game over autopilot, keep in mind that there once was no autopilot (back in the beta days) and traveling then took forever, well a 20+ jump trip felt like for ever.

The game was _released_ with no autopilot; it wasn't just beta.
