12hrs downtime? worthy of an extra day credit?

Now shut up, both sides are right in this topic but using the idea of they could make us pay is really frickin' stupid. Dude they could just add new content into new sections of the galaxy that are open only for people who pay extra. Other MMO's are doing it I dont see why CCP couldn't do it. For example they could have implemented the entire EXODUS patch into a part of spce only accesible to people who buy teh expansion. But they didnt. They are handing out free expansions and I for one won't be grumbling about my lost 12 hrs. Why dont you just DIE DIE DIE !!!! And people complain that we only have to put up with 12 hours of downtime, because they aren't happy about losing something they paid about $0.3 for. No, you are correct, nothing is free. Your subscription does pay for the patches, expansions etc. When people say it's a free patch/expansion they mean you don't have to pay extra for it. If you think then, that anyone still running the original version, cannot access 4/5's of the game now without having spent upwards of ú100 extra. I think now, they even stop earlier, unexpanded, versions of the client connecting at all to the game. Guild Wars, I know is 'free', but I am damn sure I read somewhere in the small print that they still reserve the right to charge for future expansion. I am in the dark about other MMOG's, such as EQ, WoW, and MXO. So yeah, CCP charging effectively 17p's worth of downtime for new content works out quite well indeed. And if you think you are paying for this through your subscription, you are probably right. But bear in mind that that fee is on-par with other MMOG's, and that you are getting a whole bunch of bugfixes included. ex P-TMC If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU.

If we where to make a poll on how many subscribers are happy with the idea of a free expansion for the price of 12h dt i think u would be in the minority that didnt want it so.....
