How are Caldari ships supose to kill anythign now?

darmoth	Posted - 2005.07.06 00:41:00 - [1] Ok after finaly getting in the game I tested out the new missles. rats in pashani system. missle type heavy scourge first rat blood engraver. dmg per missle 32.5 total missles to kill 31 missles. wtf i have 5 launcher points on my ship now i have to carry rocket light and heavy lauchers to be able to fight? forget doing missions now cause is no way I can fit and carry enough diffrent missle launcher types to kill anythign effectively. how do you expect the caldari to compete now. You have turned them from as your little intro video stated the most powerfull to the weakest navy in the game. corp mate in a raven battle ship fireing bane torpedoes at a pith terriost doing 160 dmg a hit thats just stupid. intercepters will now be even more godly with there natural high speed they will be able to tank a raven better then a megatron. o ya your going to say but the new skills will balance it out. ok so what are people supose to do for the next month while we train these skills? other then get owned. 3 good friends who got me into playing this game have already canceled there sub and one corp mate who been playing game from release as well. this is total crap.

I've played this game for a bit over 2 years (not with this account however), and my impression now: I am leaving. And I retract my comment about this being a good game to one of the devs. Now it's a mockup. Thanks for the fish, and happy gaming for those of you that wants to keep playing.

Umm deja seriously stfu caldari used to be the worst race in the game at pvp and still is although now it's the worst race at pve also.

Afaik agent runners lost important missions prior to level 4s becoming the cashcow they were and whilst they most certainly did not help the eve economy, nor do I hear many anti-agent runners accepting this fact. As for raven pilots, they have it harder to shield tank than pilots who tank armour, especially apocs but again you don't hear much about that as people look for what they don't have and scream until they get it, rather than being thankful for what they do have.

Bugger all for me to do now. Arn't I glad i've spent 9 months training to be an uber Caldari pilot for it to be snubbed with the release of 1 patch reducing me to a pilot that would do more damage to an inty if he got out and started spitting at it...
Ixianus	Posted - 2005.07.06 00:58:00 - [19] Im very much forced to agree with Deja, although I feel these changes do make a somewhat unnatural limitation on missles, seeing as missles are something of a dumb system to use in reality, it does help to balence them with the other ships of Eve. Dumb meaning requiring little skill to use, missles once launched generally do their own thing.

Yippee I can vaporize instantly any frig comming threw a gate from 200km I have such a hard time winning with rail guns. I have it soo hard woh is me.
Aldanor	Posted - 2005.07.06 01:02:00 - [22] Caracal has 2 turret points you know, i dunno you could always fit a frigate sized rail/beam/arty or two, they do more dps than a heavy launcher did pre-patch neway... Ravens you know you have that thing called a dronebay, 6 t1 heavy drones get close to 100dps which is plenty to pop any webbed frigate in less than 10 seconds....

Which by the way, got INCREASED because of new skills and the potential for readily available tech II launchers. The only people whining about this are those who have been abusing the god-like powers of torpedo spam to get isk they would not otherwise be able to get with their crappy skills and experience. The security thing was a huge whine factor, but in the end the Devs stated there were overall increases. I for one will adapt. Highways getting dropped, was to promote RP and stimulate diverse markets. They were only added with a patch in mid-Gemini as a result of about only 3500 people playing EVE during peak times and not being able to get even simple things like cruisers or frigs was killing it for new players. Those who can adapt will end up richer as their stuff will sell for more, if they are the only ones supplying it. Those who whine and threaten to quit are usually the ones who have gotten too used to paying near-mineral price on everything right out of Yulai.

Someone once told me they loved me.

Well, main char, also a Caldari, at well over 28 mill SP, same thing. So, be my guest and tell me to STFU. Have a nice over-nerfed game.
