I want to add: the deployment was brilliant.
No severe lag or kazillion times to try to connect to the server etc.
In other words: awesome!

I usually worry something is going to be royally screwed up but it seems this has been the smoothest patch yet. I think a lot of credit has to go to our new QA manager. I'm still keeping a close eye on things.
Thanks for the compliment Thomdril and everyone else. I'm glad you like it. We all worked really hard on this patch.

As always, a ton of bugs, but getting rid of all of those is almost impossible anyway and this is by far the most stable patch yet. Good job CCP, grats to your QA Manager also. ------ (\_/) (O.o) (> <) |

It *is* royally screwed up. I could not even finish the patching before errors come up.

Patching errors on your client have nothing to do with the quality of this excellent patch, great work at reducing the lag and people will get over the missile changes eventually, also i think ccp should release the cold war intro movie as an ad for EVE its a much needed addition to the game and it rocks, release it and attract those millions of players :)

Yes the hardwork definately paid off, this is truely the best ever patch. I wasnt even expecting the server to be playable last night but it was as smooth as any other day in EVE.

I agree. Been here since the earliest of betas and this patch is, in my oppinion, the very best one so far. Like so many others, I didn't expect the game to be really playable for another couple of days. Yet, yesterday it was fully possible to go out venturing into missions and other hazardus projects.
Splendid work CCP! Truely awsome! __________

Aye i must admit, well done CCP, servers came up later than they were supposed to if i remember correctly? But with a patch on this scale estimating can be very difficuilt, so this was expected and perfectly understandable :). No lag, cluster limit was using from the start gradually going up by 1000 meaning little congestion yet while avoiding a lag issue, and no crashes :D.
Must say i was very impressed :).

Having experienced 4 or 5 patches before, this has been the smoothest yet. Grats CCP !
Was reading the known issues thread and all I could see in the first few pages were people moaning about the font, the new voice and the Missile Nerf. Seems very few issues so far so Grats to the new QA guy , job well done.
With regards to the Missile nerf it seems to a lot of people that it came 'out of the blue' even though it was announced and available to testing 2 Months ago. Perhaps next time b4 such a nerf comes out, announce it in the ingame news. - will save lots of moaning on the forums.
Suggest also in future arrange more patch mirrors.

Speaking as one of the silent, yet content, minority I give CCP tremendous accolades for a well done patch. Smooth transistion with minor hick-ups. Considering the shear amount of content and added dept;, I'm absolutly impressed with everyone in the CCP team. Thanks for the best patch to date.

Patching errors IS an issue. Obviously there is not sufficient quality assurance, testing or support for the very execution of the patch itself. It failed to patch right? That's obviously a failure. I never failed a patch before. Why now? Given that a lot of people are complaining about the failure of patching and the lack of support, it looks like the patch has a higher than average failure rate in the patching process. There are failures also reported in the disk to version, and the whole client install itself. _______________________________________________ "Is it me or the bad guys just getting totally pathetic?"---Clover, Totally Spies, "Hope is wasted on the Hopeless."---Mandy, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. The attention to detail is awe inspiring as well. I love the fact we will be finding little things for days/weeks to come.

Love yer work CCP. I like the new changes. The chat (/me) emotes don't work, my cursor is stuck on the loading crosshairs and the font will take a bit of getting used to but considering all we have gained it is nothing to worry about. It's great!!!!
I really did expect patch day to be an absolute nightmare but it went smooth as a babies bum (well for me and mine anyways). Only comments I have regarding deployment are maybe make the patch available in advance to avoid the rush or maybe just do patch day on Thursday / Friday so those of us who need to visit a mate with the fat connection don't have to juggle around work quite so much.
In all seriousness this is the stuff I pay for and it is well worth it. If we could get the time off to travel to Iceland for FanFest me and my corp mates would be up there getting you blokes well and truly ratted (drunk if you was wondering).
Thanks CCP!!!

Yeah very good patch but i find the game more unstable now, alt+tab is instant crash now. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
And this is not whining but there is no reason for me to use Caldari ships anymore, even before the patch i was already considering changing to ships of some other race.

Aye, very smooooth deployment.....
And no "log off cause your week is shot, dude" errors!
You have to admit, normally after-patch playing is a bad idea until the first round of hotfixes comes....
You owe that new QA guy a beer.

At the price of beer last time I was in Iceland a beer is right.
I was also pleased by the early release of a torrent for the patch allowing me to: a) get the patch early b) seed overnight to people in need c) send a zipped version to friends who were unable to access the HTTP download/auto patch or get a seed/peer on Bit Torrent
I don't know how well the servers came back up because I went out for the evening but when I came back they were all up and running just a long log-in period first time round. Well done on the rollout CCP just a few issues that people seem to think need addressing ("where's my sec rating gone?" is mine)
