Good afternoon pilots!
I have good news for you! CCP Optimal is here to tell you about some new UI features that many of you who visit Singularity will have seen in testing.
Team Game of Drones have been working hard to bring you a new UI that is more accessible and easy to use. You can find out more about them in CCP Optimal's latest devblog. CCP Falcon -á || -á EVE Community Team -á || -á EVE Illuminati -á || -á Live Events Organizer

We hope you like the Info Panels! We would very much like to develop the 'Work in progress' stuff in the blog so please give us your thoughts on those too. CCP Arrow-á-á|-á Senior Game Designer-á|-á @CCP_Arrow |

Chribba wrote:PANELS! Looks really great! With the waypoints in the stars... does this mean I can MWD to the system now? And we can assume by default that all panels can be right-clicked and actions performed on the item "selected"? /c
Why, of course you can. Did I not mention that in the blog?
I'm not quite sure which items you are referring to, but all right-clicking should work just fine, and as before |

I'd like to be able to reorganise waypoints by dragging them around the route info panel. So if I have a bunch of waypoints, say, Jita > Rens > Dodixie, I can click on Jita and drag it to after dodixie. I understand we can "optimize" waypoints, but sometimes I don't want to go the optimal route. Right now (as far as I'm aware) I would need to remove the Jita WP and re-add it after Dodixie. Much easier if we can just drag and drop it :)
Also, clicking on a the next system (or station) in a route opens the show info panel for that system. It'd be nice if we could use a shortcut key to perform an action such as align, approach, warp, jump on the next system in the route. Traditionally I would use the OV for travelling. But recently I've been using the route info panel leaving me to use the OV for understanding what ships are around me. It just lacks some tiny improvements to make it PERFECT. Allowing a user to perform navigation actions on the next item in the route would be super mega ultra awesome.
Good work folks!
Edit: spelling.
That would be cool, but currently you just open up the new "Manage Route" window through the autopilot pannel settings pop-up, and drag the waypoints around there if you want to do it manually.
When we get around to add current system locations to the Info Panels (see screenshots in blog), you'll be able to execute whatever shortcuts you want on those entries, making exactly what you describe possible. It's a good idea to have the same thing work for the first autopilot route box as well (have it represent the corresponding gate in regards to shortcuts), so we'll definitely look into that.

Yes! Since the design plan is to allow players to choose what they want to see displayed, it makes sense to have everything you can warp to available. It could eliminate the need for using Right-click to warp to stuff, and you wouldn't need a specific navigation tab in the overview anymore. CCP Arrow-á-á|-á Senior Game Designer-á|-á @CCP_Arrow |

Nice screenshot!
The autopilot can of course be managed from it's Info Panel, no matter what view you're in. |

Djakku wrote:Please provide an option to disable all, if not, most of it.
It takes up space needed for more useful UI elements like watch list, fleet window, cargo, local etc. This can be very frustrating in PvP. Especially for players who don't have large monitors.
If that's what you want, just collapse everything, leaving just the icon strip at the top. |

Yes, the idea is that once all warpable celestialsand other elements in your solar system are available there you won't need to use the Right-Click to select them and then their options in a sub-level or have them visible in the Overview anymore (you still can, but this method should be better). You will have the ability to use the Right-click option directly on the celestials to perform an action, or use shortcut keys to do the action directly without going into the Right-click at all.
This is the basic idea and the goal would be to make this the most effective and efficient way to navigate to elements in your solar system and allow you to fully customize the view of these elements in the System Info Panel. CCP Arrow-á-á|-á Senior Game Designer-á|-á @CCP_Arrow |

As long as you don't go ahead and just remove the right click option that we have atm :), you can do that later if it turns out no one uses the right click in space afterwards for a while
No plans to remove anything, just add a new and better way to do it, those that want to keep using Right-click for the same task will be able to do it exactly the same way as before. CCP Arrow-á-á|-á Senior Game Designer-á|-á @CCP_Arrow |
