Bear in mind I uses eve-i.com's "Starter Tool" to look these up, so some may be out of date.
The important thing is that the following 2 skills, known to work, are not for sale, and only available at character creation:
Astrogeology - Bonus to Mining Laser Yield. Listed under Science in Character Sheet, but not listed in Science (or Industry for that matter) in the market.
Metallurgy - Bonus to mineral efficiency research speed.
Also there's Laboratory Operations, which is listed on the market, but none for sale (Sinq Laison and The Forge checked specifically, I'd check more if I could re-create a char more often than every 5.5 hours). This skill isn't availabke at character creation either. Is it intended to be available at all ? Description says it allows you to use more research slots (+1 per level).
And then there's this lot, all available at creation but not on the market:
Convoy Formation ? Not listed in Leadership
Defensive Formation ? Not listed in Leadership
Mnemonics ? Not listed in Science, Not working ([MI]Tich)
Biology ? Not listed in Science, Not working ([MI]Tich)
Genetic Engineering ? Not listed in Science
Cybernetics ? Not listed in Science
Bartering ? Not listed in Social
Broker Relations ? Not listed in Social
Black Market Trading ? Not listed in Social
Diplomacy ? Not listed in Social
Negotiation ? Not listed in Social
Connections ? Not listed in Social
Criminal Connections ? Not listed in Social
Repair Drone Operation ? Not listed in Drones
Personally I'd quite like Laboratory Operations to be made generall available, as I have an alt char that I pretty much just use for research tasks. Metallurgy would obviously help here too.
Astrogeology would be pounced upon by all miners, which includes me often enough (although I've not bothered training Mining skill that far yet).

Allow us to buy the 'working' 'starting' skills on the normal market.
And as a scientist character, i would like something to learn! which is non-combative

Laboratory Operations used to be a character creation skill under the CSO character creation tree. Back in Phase6 or 7 it was turned into just a level of science and research. As of a few days ago CSO still doesn't give Lab Ops.

This would be a *bump* then.
I see in the eve-vault interview/discussion the devs have said any skill available at char creation SHOULD be available on the market.
So how about it then guys?

I think they should turn the trade skill on but not put it on the market for a while just as pay backs to those of us who have it and never got to use it. Come on CCP throw me a bone.

hey, don't forget astrogeology, the already working, much lusted after skill by every miner out there. (remember how they're a huge portion of the economy)

as far as I know, the only skill added to market is PE, no more no less.......

Yup, PE was the only one added.
Metallurgy and Laboratory Ops are *listed* on the market, but never any for sale (Sinq Laison). No sign of Laboratory Operations still.

interesting tho that PE was added AFTER Hosokawa Incorporated tried to sell some skillpacks it aquired....makes me think they wanted to **** us over by only inserting the PE and not laboratly things or research or astrology (spelling)

then get on his case and bug him for Astrogeology and metalurgy already ! :P
As for lab ops, i think its intended for it to be loot only, since its neither on character creation or market...
oh and i heard that the formations (leaderships skills) do work... if they do they have to be put in too ! :/

I'd have pestered TomB about Astrogeology, Metallurgy and Lab Ops if he'd been around. I believe he's currently on vacation.

So, upcoming patch, are these skills going to get added with it ?
And that's not just LISTED on the market, but seed the market with a reasonable amount of each too  .

Some of those skills may be on the market in different regions but there's never any available.
