Starting with the bloody sunday on 2004-10-31 where the by now infamous incidents occured and the flames and arguments about who shot who raged on for about 2 months, and where FA lost 24 bships in one day, and estimated value losses was ~2.2 billons.
Enter the talks, arguments, agreements and whatnot during November 2004, and only some scattered FA losses, totalling about 747 millions.
Enter December 2004, where FA tried sending suicide squads up north to try and take us on, but never got past ec-p, and lost rougly 420 millions value.
Enter January 2005, where we slowly trickled in down to delve and querious, and there actually was fightings... and FA losses totalling ~12 billions.
In february and march of 2005, it escalated, with february totalling losses of ~19 billions, and march ~10 billions. April and may followed to be a little bit calmer, with only some smaller raids from BoB. April totalled about 10 billions in losses for FA, and May about 7 billions. It continues into June, where June ended up with a warbill of ~7.5 billions for FA.
Now, its July.
The first 9 days of July, has so far totalled losses for FA of 6 billions. And this is, mind you, with FA saying "ignore the core, be elsewhere, bore them to death".
Doing the math since the conflict with FA began.. gives FA a total warbill of about 70-75 billions.

As far as i know it shows the insurance payout (~100M per battleship) and not the insurance cost (~30M per battleship). Maybe BoB have changed it though .. no idea.

And, your calculations (aside from not taking insurance into account as has already been mentioned) assume these people did NOT attempt to make any money over this entire year of gameplay.

The PA were defeated, if you recall the PA started out by fighting back, then went to empire. FA are starting out in empire and only those the alliance doesn't care enough about to organise are left in Core.
It's a different campaign, don't try and equate the two; BoB were not prepared for the "boredom" tactic against the Phoenix Alliance, we most certainly are prepared for it against the Fountain "Alliance".

More respect due, IMO, to the likes of PA/FA than those that would rather fight with BoB than fight against them. Yes, because fighting alliances and corps that you are quite happy to denounce saying they won't fight/are weak/have no pvpers* shows how truly skilled you are.

Tell me, of the corps in PA in July 2004, how many are still in PA ?
I seem to recall PA retreating to empire, down in membership numbers by 80%, and utterly defeated. I remember extracts form alliance chat and posts on the PA boards with some pretty language on it.
The only ones left in 0.0 space where some GODS members, HAOS guys too stubborn to abandon Y-4 and some riffraff that would come up once in a while in assorted frigs.
Aside from that, Deklein was empty, Fade was empty, Pure Blind was a mess, Tribute and Vale were being overrun whenever we would bother.
Untill G came and filled the gaps in fade and somewhat in deklein. They never succeeded in anything more then that, and in all honesty the only reason they did is that we couldn't be arsed to defend all that space. We're talking 5 regions here we more or less totally emptied of residents and controlled for ourselves.
Military defeat my ass. We were up for something different, and bored ****less with playing hide and seek with the few hostiles left here and there across these 5 regions...
This time it's different though. We hold one region, and are taking another to go with it. Fountain will be emptied of FA, period. We know how to work in environments that feature roaming hostiles. That's what we do ourselves. Don't think a few colsup frigs or some hungarian snipers are going to stop us. And neither will boredom.
Killing an alliance is fun. As long as it remains we will be there doing it.

Most of the damage done is done in terms of disabling functioning as an alliance in 0.0 space. You can't see that on killboards however :(

You know its a massive shame whats happend to hirr (i even remembered the lowercase 'h' :)). What they do in eve is a complete contradiction to them in Planetarion (a game they used to play in, much like xanadu infact).
I remember them throwing their entire fleet at an elysium planet knowing full well they'd get hammered, such great spirit and they earned so much admiration. I'm just gutted their part of this cowardly alliance in eve that actually admits to using tactics such as boring the enemy away, or my personal favorite the 'fish bowl' manouver.
