Why are some of my blueprints red, and some blue?
It doesn't seem to be related to the race, or to them being BPOs or BPC, so I am wondering...

Hmm my copies, bpos and 0 run bpcs all look blue to me.
Perhaps t2 or special item bpcs?

I have a few minmatar cruiser BPCs that definitely have a red background. |

It seems they have various shades as well, look at the tempest and badger 2 bp's

I don't think blueprints have special blue versions of the item pictures, I think they're the normal pictures applied over blue (or vice versa).
I think in the last patch the opacity (or whatever controls the "blueness") changed.

Although a different color for bpc's than bpo's would be AWSOME!!!!
Kinda sucks when they get all mixed together.

The tempest has 1 run on it which is the same as the raven but it looks like the raven is a different shade yet again.
The rifter has 10 runs on it, so i don't think runs have anything to do with it, which is what i initially thought.

Look at the ships that have the pink backgrounds. Notice something that they all have in common? Now look at the NORMAL pictures of those same ships and compare to the others.
That's why

Many of the minmatar ships are shot on a very red backrounds, so when combined with a heavy blue tint, they turn pinkish red.
That is what is going on here.

Original blueprints in the real world, are black on white.
Or white on black. I forget which. But they definitely are not blue.

Pretty sure they were blue pre-patch. Only thing I've noticed is that my BPOs that have a reddish tint are the ones that have mineral efficiency researched on them.

its to do with the way the BP graphics are created. All CCP do is add a blue tint to the normal image you see of the item it builds. Because they are redish i am guessing it has something to do with the colour of the image in its original state which causes some to look redish.
