Not sure if I'm imagining it, but is C&P getting a little boring?
Doesnt seem to be many tears, tales of bravery or **** flinging anymore.
Is this down to the current state of the (PvP/Gank/whatever) game at the moment?
Post with my main? This is my main - I just overtrain and overplay my alts. |

I think it's due to the moderation and rules on this forum that makes it rather useless. What has happened to C&P the last months happened to CAOD even longer ago.
People find other forums where they can write/link more freely...
I am personally for the idea of moderating a official forum like this. But there is a difference between moderating a forum vs totally choke it.

I get far less tears than I used to, apart from an occasional "F*** You!!1". People seem to just accept that I've killed them and disappear for a while.
I do still get some quality stuff from AWOXing, but not quite quality enough to post about.

With the normal can flipping mechanics not in place anymore there has been a lot less of that.

Kane hits on a big part of it, but I think there's a bit more to consider. Miners no longer have to worry about can flipping, but it's a combination of the change in mechanics, plus the unimaginably large ore bays that the mining ships have. Miners just don't jet can mine so much anymore because they don't have to. That said, the only time they catch a bit of grief is when they get suicide ganked, which is just not quite as profitable as it once was, or when the New Testament bumping crew shows up.
A second source of tears and rage resulted from mission invasion and the resultant blingy mission boat explosions. This source hasn't dried up completely, but it's clear that CCP has done their level best to nerf it nearly into oblivion. There are still a few hardcore pilots who are out there trying to kill the elusive mission bear, but most get bored pretty quickly and move on to other things.
Finally, Skunks and the boys (and I'd wager a fair few of us in this very thread) did a fine job of stirring up the Incursion community by preying on the weak-minded and easily-duped. CCP of course swooped in to correct this, then seeing their mistake, hit Incursions with the nerf bat, only to realize they'd over-nerfed them and softened their original nerf. CCP could have accomplished the same thing by simply allowing the predators to continue to "thin the herd". That could be said about a lot of supposed problems tbh.
So, yeah, fewer assaults on the carebear community since the Wolf (or Jackal if you prefer) has been shown the door in High Sec anyways. That means less tears and ragey emails to the CEO (which are hysterical BTW) and consequently fewer LOL posts in C&P.
