That's where I stop too. When I try to get to eve-online.com with Firefox it just stops. Doesn't even give an error or unable to connect message.

Tx to the Google Cache of the now been down eve-online.com web, I found some link to the full client downloads, for anyone else having trouble getting it.
Seems like downloads. hosts are still working.

seems its all fixed for me now.
If you ever have a problem with going to a site you know is still online try going around the problem : use a proxyserver.(there are many free ones that work great) Very easy to make and works quite good

I am CCP's IT Director, have been with CCP since early 2000, WoW its been 5 years in Heaven already ;)
IÆm responsible for all things technical, And yes its been way to long since my last post.
IÆm glad to see that the issue is clearing up for some of you, if anyone still has it please let me know. Its one of those strange gremlins on the internet that can be really hard to find.
