OS version: Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium CPU: Core i7 2600k @ 4.7 GHz GPU: Two Radeon HD 7950s in Crossfire, but the game uses only one of them. RAM: 8 GB @ 1867 MHz How many clients were you running at the same time? One. Graphic setting of the client (low / medium / high): Everything maxed and checked. - Anti-Aliasing: High - Shader Quality: High - Texture Quality: High - LOD Quality: High
User Experience
Average FPS during the fight at the gate in Poitot, zoomed out (brackets / no brackets): Around 30-40 with brackets, but it depends on how zoomed out it is. Average FPS - Zoomed in (brackets / no brackets): Around 12-16 with brackets. Was client performance better or worse compared to your TQ experience with the same settings and fleet size? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome) N/A, never flew with a fleet that large on TQ. Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? One crash at the gate in Poitot before the fight started from attempting to disable in-game audio. After warping away from the control tower spot in fleet W the game sound quit, but I could still hear fleet voice chat. I was trying to disable and enable audio in an attempt to get it working again. After the crash and restarting the game sound was restored.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: I don't really have any comments or suggestions concerning the test itself. It was a fun experience, although a little tough at times getting my drones to respond. My sentry drones got lost in the mess when assaulting the control tower.
Changing graphics settings to the performance preset caused my framerate to easily go over 100 FPS when assembling on the gate before the test took place and around 40-50 FPS when assaulting the control tower when zoomed in. I switched all settings back to maximum when assaulting the control tower since so many of the effects were missing and the ships looked like they did back in 2006. I wear my sunglasses at night. |

Was client performance better or worse compared to your TQ experience with the same settings and fleet size? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome) Not participated in big fleet fights on TQ but a "10" compared to last masstest!
Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? None
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Everything was smooth! The TD (time dilation) after gate jumps was as expected and I had no problem with the grid and no lagging after the TD-effect. No crashes as mentioned. The EVE-Voice was also very clear to listen and not lagging at all but my microphone was not recognized. Had this time participated with dreadnoughts and was impressed with the high FPS with all clients. In the past was always trouble with FPS and lagging while flying caps. The FPS also bearly changed this time while changing the brackets! |

I enjoyed myself and would love to be involved in more of these despite the low capacity my laptop can handle (had i been on my desktop back home things would have been different). |

User Experience Average FPS during the fight at the gate in Poitot, zoomed out (brackets / no brackets): 18 Average FPS - Zoomed in (brackets / no brackets): 18 Was client performance better or worse = 5 until white screen (see below) , 1 upon jumping to X-BV...
disconnects or crashes? Yes - when "warp fleet" to Planet 5 was issued, my screen went white and did not recover. I could hear all fleet chat, but could not inrteract with the game at all.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: In the "instructions for Mass Tests" wiki, tell us how you want us to deal with a white screen and/or DC so those modes of failure can be better identified. For example, I only learned that you wanted a screen snap well after the event, and of course, if I knew that while white-screened, I could have taken a screen snap in real time. |
