Personally I train up Marketing so I can sell items in the region.
Beyond that I just put the items up in a contract for low prices.
Sometimes I just put courier contracts the items to Jita hoping the person will fail the mission and give me a big collateral check. I ran into what your seeing a long time ago. I eventually got strict with myself and don't allow myself to get into that habit.
I try to keep it under 10 stations that always have things in them, and everything else I try to pick up and consolidate at least once a week. Otherwise I would end up with things in 50 stations again.
If you don't want your stuff spread all over, you will have to do something about it yourself. |

I seem to remember hearing that after about 6 months of being unsubbed, CCP would consolidate all of your items to your medical station.
If that's still true, make an alt (sub it for a month using the buddy invite system), contract all your stuff to it, set it's med clone to Jita (or wherever), and let its sub lapse for 6+ months (use the API to check for item movement). This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

LOL. This topic is kinda stupid. There are skills you can learn that let's you fly the Industrial ship class and there are courier contracts. So you either put in some time, or you put in some ISK, to get your stuff in one place. Simple really. Moving assets and getting all your stuff in the right place is part of the game too. |

No.
I'm not based out of a single station, I don't want to have to move stuff back to the various places I operate from every year because CCP have moved it all.
I also don't want the Navitas, Cynogen and LO I left in an outpost with a jump clone in case I ever want to go back there moved anywhere - at least until I've used it.
Which is another consideration - if you own a capital ship then either that would be moving to high sec or all of your stuff would be moved to low/null... Might be tricky... |

I think if you sent a keg of beer with a note requesting the above, you'd find it would happen quickly.
but, you could just sell the crap off via contracts from your assets window. Might have to price it a bit under market value, but loads better than flying everywhere.
Of course as soon as you do that, you'll find yourself deciding to move back to that place, and you'll lament the gone-ness of your stuff.

Solution to this problem:
Don't let it coming up! Sell or recycle+sell redundant items, before you finally leave a station.
If however the amount of stations with items grow over 10, take an evening to collect them.

Get an asset management software like jEveAsset to see where your valuable stuff is. Create list of stations that hold items or ships worth collecting. Repackage stuff remotely (scrap T1 rigs) and make courier contracts or haul it yourself to Jita with Orca/freighter. Trash stuff not worth collecting or just ignore it.
Now what is really annoying is the dozens of stations where I still have bookmarks and nothing else, back from the days before corp BMs where you had to put BM contracts up as a wormhole resident. And the stations where I have rookie ships because I docked in a pod. They shouldn't give out rookie ships unless you request it. . |

Perhaps not too surprisingly, most of it *is* crap and not worth much on the market. Not even worth transporting to a hub... The pricy stuff gets moved to a central hanger, or gets sold quickly. The marginally-useful dross gets left behind.
It's just not a big enough issue to inspire me to do a full cleanup.
