From my time all the way back to being in Space Monkeys for my first taste of Nullsec, to watching the Northern Coalition burn, to moving down south to join En Garde with AAA, to joining the Rebellion against Red Overlord and joining Unclaimed I have had quiet the uppity nullsec life.
I have never experienced a very big "lull" in nullsec, from one disaster to another Iv been uprooted and looking for a home or moving with my corp many times. But so far, the most stable period I have had is my life with Unclaimed.
When was with En Garde (Sister alliance to AAA) I joined only 2 weeks before the Delve 4 conflicts (or 5 based on different points of view), I saw the beginning of the end for the Southern Coalition as well as Nulli's great flee north. I was there until the end when Test finally broke the trench and entered AAA taking sov, I was there for the great speeches of victory to never come by Avi Sarfraz, I was there to see Makalu's passion.
But with Unclaimed., as I lie far from the center of anything in New Eden I finally feel at peace. Yet I also feel the rugged nature of life on the border of HBC space (Who unclaimed is part of) were we are the first line of defense, we are subject to roams by N3 when ever they feel like roaming through HBC space.
But when you look at the headlines, be it on the Mittani or Evenews it's always about the big boys, TEST, GOONS, the N3, SOLAR. While these mega blocks of power leading massive coalitions always seem to get the limelight I feel this robs the spotlight from the pilots who every day guard the border be it with Unclaimed in the HBC or EA with the CFC or what have you.
I am a miner, a industrialist, while I myself build nothing other than extreme basics I supply to builders of great magnitude. I am not only paid enough to get by with the fleet I am payed to go on and invest and expand my own personal assets. Where as I am constantly told to be a "pet", "sucker of the HBC teet", "Nullbaby" I have seen none of the so called benefits these people who breach there hate for the HBC to me.
Well, there's my thoughts, like if you want. Comment. I would enjoy to see a discussion of the smaller Alliances who "support" our galactic overlords. |

I actually think the alliances in the south are quite interesting, they are inherently less stable as they aren't set up as long or as well, they are surrounded by enemies too.
Probably the 2nd most interesting place to be in the galaxy. "If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared." - Niccolo Machiavelli |

The south has been in a state of upheaval for a while now. However some stability has seemed to come to the far south as far as Alliances go with us and the alliances between us a Tribal's space.

Honestly, WTF? You guys kill a ratting Nyx and it is reported.

You kill a Machariel and it gets articles.
http://evenews24.com/2012/12/09/masl-unclaimed-became-his-worst-nightmare/ http://themittani.com/news/alod-glorious-machariel
And there are more articles involved Unclaimed. in both news sites.
I think both sites make an effort to cover interesting topics about as many people as possible, not just the big blocks.

I lived in R97 in Feyth for a few months when I was in ROL. It was great when you wanted to be alone to probe or make isk. Unfortunately, however, that same remoteness meant that you were going like 40 jumps to find any PVP.
I'm glad you've found what you're looking for, OP. I've never understood why so many EVE players seem to think that everyone should play the game exactly the way they do. |
