I'm a big fan of the Condor because it's so darn flexible. My standard fit is a 'Trumbone'.

I'm using a few different ones, but my go-to T1 frigate is Merlin. I just prefer a straight puncher :)
There's really no rocket science to it (pun somewhat intended ;) ), I'm just using it as a mini Blarpy. Pushes out about 170 dps unheated with CN AM, has around 8k ehp and travels at just a bit over 1k m/s unheated. It's not its bigger brother, but costs like a third as well. |

It will forever be the Kestrel. Its name is Super spikinator's Kestrel. It was the first frigate that I bought and it made it through a level 2 mission after a bit of warp hopping and kiting. Then when faction ships were first released I took that Kestrel through a complex, got a Succubus BPC and reprocessed my Kestrel so that I could build my Succubus. RIP Super spikinator's Kestrel. RIP. |

Condor is awsome .... mwd kiter, mwd scram ASB or buffer,ab scram ASB, ab buffer .... so many options ;) ... I am expecting soon some scream about Condor is OP call the nerf bat.
other frigs can be used too, but are very situational and sometimes they are one trick ponnies. |

Incursus, has a strong tank, uses blasters (So instantly cool) and is quite fast.
DUST514 isn't on PC because CCP wants 2 different communities influencing each other, not people tabbing out to give themselves Orbital Strikes. (Also they don't want to cannibalise their existing playerbase) |

Been trying to get some use out of a lml kestrel but being terrible at kiting + having ****** dps is bad |

Caldari Navy Hookbill is currently the most powerful and flexbile frigate. It has good DPS is damn fast and with 5 med slots you can do a lot of e-war. Finally, you can't tracking disrupt it.
Minmatar frigates currently seem to be the worst since they are jack-of-all-trades and last rebalance rounds have completely ignored them resulting in all other ships got now ahead of them. |

At first I saw a few ab scram condors but now its 90% kiters.
If you want to go solo you can either take a condor for kiting or a tristan for brawling. These 2 ships probably account for about 70% of the the t1 frigates I see in low sec.
But to op my current favorite is the kestrel. I can have decent chances against most frigates, assault ships, destroyers, and even some cruisers if they are alone. The wide envelope allows for allot of fights.
Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve

Dual rep incursus. Tanks n brawls like a beast. Get up close and personal with a full supply of navy cap 400s and your good. Just avoid those damn pesky kiters! I call it DR Doolittle.
As for kiter I love my WhyskeyDyck rail, td atron. Very fun to hunt blaster ships in. |

Kestrel, 4 launchers, selectable damage, decent mix of speed and tank, wide range of fitting options, what is not to love? Rockers for high dps, missiles for range, it is just plain fun. |

I fly the Tristan a lot. The thing is a beast in FW plexes. There are very, very few fits that can beat it in a straight 1vs1. |

My hookbill, called skarmory, i fly it abselutly recklessly (warping into a plex with 5 frigs on 0, no problem at all), and it yet has to die. It has given me loot worth aprox 1.2bil so far. |

Tristan, Kestrel, yes Condors are very good, usually I see them MWD/double damp
Last fight I had in a Tristan vs. MWD condor he beat me cause he was moving 4km/s+ and my drones couldn't keep up. Going to abandon tristan until I can train for warrior 2's...
Kestrel can beat anything...well...at least it can HIT anything which at least gives me a chance  |

Executioner in a Slicer+TD setup, outside Amarr I'd have to go with the Condor. If you'd have told me a year ago we'd agree on the Condor being a beast I'd call you insane hehe.

I think that on my first trial account the first ship I bought off the market was the Tormentor, because I liked the look of it, and had no idea what different ships were for. Waited a couple hours to sit in it, flew over to get it, had to log out and never logged in again.
In RvB I heard a story about a laser Merlin that kited brawly stuff and brawled kitey stuff. When the Tormentor got its third turret I figured it should do better than whatever a stinky Merlin could do. I've been enjoying flying my Tormentor, though I can't compare it to other ships since I haven't given them a proper go yet. (and frankly a number of kills with it have been farming alts)
I name my Tormentors 'T-301'
I tried to fight a Condor once, in my Coercer :( Figgured it'd be easy, but the guy had two sensor dampers scripted for range. I almost slingshotted away. :( Good tarp but the pilot was an arse after |

My favorite frigs besides the incursus were all my least favorite ones before retribution, the kestrel, Tristan, and breacher standout now but I had to drop a point to tank it more. |
