I feel it is my duty as an eve player to bring your attention about this nascent and dangerous blight that has started to claim the lives of talented pilots in our galaxy. Tonight one of my friends was struck down by this curse whilst mining in 0.2 space with his corpmates.
After an hour or so of mining we noticed a large and unsightly growth was emerging from the side of his BS. On closer inspection we realised that a Hemorphite asteroid had attached itself to his hull:

These "Hemoroids" if left unchecked continue to grow on the host vessel. By the time he realised what was happening the Hemoroid had established a foothold on his ship and began mutating. As his corpmates watched on in horror, he attempted to remove the Hemoroid by lasing it off with his miners:

Unfortunately for him it was too late and soon his BS was consumed by the mutant Hemoroid:

Let this serve as a warning to all pilots frequenting belts where Hemorphite is present so that you too do not fall victim to this terrible fate.
CHECK YOUR SHIP FOR HEMOROIDS REGULARLY!

That's the old "Pre-exodus" UI that eve had. Trust me when I say that overall it was a lot less useful then the current UI. Only being able to see one set out of your high/mid/low slots was annoying. As fir the elite style scanner, it basically showed the same info as the tactical overview does now, just in a small less useful form in the bottom corner of your screen.

reminds me of a mod ship created bya player in elite 2 - allowed you to fly a asteroid.
Wonder if we could hallow out asteroids as hiding bases or stash points for our slaves

Oh crap, I mine in a system with hemorphite! Good thing I use a barge and stay at 15km so I don't contract hemoroids :S.
