Hello everyone, I just bought an alt account from someone using isk. I can't seem to figure out how to add gametime to the character though. I was hoping someone could help. Thanks. |

Game time is allotted per account. Not per character. If the char was transferred to your account, then it has as much game time as your main.
EDIT: and I HOPE you mean that you purchased a character and NOT account. |

How are you paying for your current account? I don't get how you can forget this. |

I just bought the character and it got transferred to my account. I've got about 90 days worth of time on my account. The problem is that Eve won't let me use both of the characters at the same time. If I start using one it kicks me off the other. |

The only way to use two characters at the same is to use characters from two separate accounts.
Go to your Account Management page: https://secure.eveonline.com/
If your intention was to buy a character to use on a second account (and then discovered your newly purchased character is placed on an existing account, not a new account), you can open a second account through the Account Management page, then pay a fee to transfer your new character to the second account.
If you want to use PLEX to add game time, there is some information here: https://secure.eveonline.com/PLEX/

No only one character per account can be played at a time. If you want to multibox and play both characters at the same time you will need a second account

Ok, thanks. I've got a new account open and now I'm waiting for the 10 hours transfer. |

Summing everything up:
- Each account can only have one character "active" (logged on) at any time.
- Each account can only have one character training at any time, as well (though it doesn't have to be the same character as the active one).
- Subscription fees are managed on a per-account basis, not a per-character basis. It does not matter how many of the 3 character slots you have filled.
- To use or train multiple characters at once, you will need multiple accounts -- and thus pay multiple subscriptions
