Burn 250km off gate to create off gate bookmark. Than stupidly right-clicking the gate and then selecting save location and calling it 250KM off gate. Later, warp to a point 250KM off in cloaky to look for enemy... landing in the middle of them... And, while youare reporting to the fleet the enemy ship composition, not noticing that you are on gate, uncloaked, and... oh.... back in station.
Later, I warped to the bookmark again, and sure enough it was on gate (no bad guys in system when I tried again).
Hmmm... how did I mess up the name of that bookmark?
I didn't realize what I'd done until next time I was out creating bookmarks and almost did the same thing. On about the 100th bookmark, I caught myself clicking the save location on the gate rather than in persons&places... and then it dawned on me.. hmmm... must have done that with that one other BM.
All it takes is 1 mess up out of 100 times doing something.. and pop, pod, tens of millions of ISK gone. |

Your the cyno pilot they need to deploy the fleet out to the POS.
Upon enty into Nullsec in your bomber you hit a gatecamp.
Run thru the avoidance drill
1) Orbit at 30km to random align,
2) bump the MWD on/off to give you velocity,
3) Activate Cloak.
Then you sit with tears in your eyes as you are infomed that you can't cloak while your cyno is lit....
(Hit the cyno instead of the MWD)

Realize you're getting too much damage, MWD successfully 30km back to the hole and die while spamming the jump button on a C1 wormhole thinking that the pop up message "Your ship is too large to be transported by the wormhole" is some sort of bug, you're in a cruiser anyway:

Recently killed an unfit Apoc in a war that someone was attempting to move through high sec despite knowing from their intel channel that I was at most 2 jumps away and likely on the other side of the gate they were trying to get through (I was).
Also killed a semi faction/deadspace fit Maelstrom that I was camping in station. It undocked and started to align as I locked it up (I noted the gate it was attempting to align to), then decided to redock when it realised I was there. I left through the gate it was trying to align to and waited. Literally 2 minutes later he jumps through. Amuses you but also makes you shake your head... |

Lol not sure if it was you or not, but had that happen a couple of months ago to me. Was happily mining away in my Mack when I turned away for q minute, turn back in time to see Concord blow someone up. I was like WTF, so asked the guy in local if he just shot me and he said "yeah, was just looking for a little pvp fun". Then about a minute later he comes back in local "ohh crap I'm in the wrong system thought this was low sec; need to go one more gate over".
To date that has been my only pew pew PvP encounter in EVE. Was good to see him shrug the loss off, laugh about it, and not let him discourage him to refit and try to find more fights. |

Logging in with a bunch of your characters, 6 x Stealth bombers, 1 x Navy Issue/fit Mega, 1 x Oneiros, 1 x Navy issue/fit Domi. Then testing the tank of your Worm Hole Domi while hammering it with the Mega and 6 bombers out front of a station. Repping your Dominix with the Oneiros then suddenly experiencing 3 billion isk Dominix supernova, looking through the tears in your eyes with your jaw on the floor and realizing you were repping the Megathron all along.
Had to cancel wormhole operations that day :( |
