Hi Guys,
What would you guys say is the most effective way to defend yourself if you're mining in a battleship? Is throwing tons of WCS in the lows going to give you a pretty good chance to get away in a sticky situation? Just want to know a good way of staying alive long enough to get the heck out of dodge =)

if in 0.0, keep an eye on local, and keep your ship aligned towards a safespot.

Well I'm not planning on doing 0.0 or anything crazy yet and drones can handle the NPC's. Was more interested in getting away from someone trying to scramble me so I can't warp.

Try to keep an eye on local. When pirates enter the system be careful. Always have your ship alligned with a safespot and if you have empty low slots, equip them with WCS.

4 WCS is probably overkill, and put Nanofibers in the remaining low slots so you can accelrate to warp out speed faster

What would it take to stop a guy with 4 WCS to not be able to warp out in time? (ECM wise)

They have to reduce you to -1 warp strength.
Warp scrambler modules have a 7.5km range and effect -2. Warp disruptor modules have a 20km range and effect -1. A warp core stabilizer gives +1.
so to stop 4 warp core stabs takes two scramblers and a disruptor at least. . ----- Apologys for any rambling that may have just occurred.

2 InterCeptors both 7.5 Km Scramblers x 2 to lock you down.... and a friendly BattleShip to lay the hurt on ya....
Simple scenario I can think of....

Ok, sounds good thanks for the replies all. Just wanted to make sure I had an avenue of escape if the crap hit the fan.
