Hey guys,
First time post, long time listener...
I am workin on a project on EVE-Online and I am looking for players that have plaid the game for at least 3 months to interview (those that have not plaid for so long will be next though). These interviews will take 30-60 minutes depending on where the discussion will lead us. I dont expect people to drop whatever it is they are doing during the interview though (you can gank a gate or mine while we go through this).
I will be conducting the interviews this weekend, from friday (july 15th) sometime shortly after DT until Sunday (July 17th) evening-"ish". It would be great if people that are willing to assist me with this would send me a mail in game and tell me when I am most likely to reach them etc. during the weekend.

What is it about ?
And what kind of project should we think about ?
If in any way related to marketing, forget it.
If in any way related to psychology, haha.
If related to something entirely different, tell me and I'd probably be happy to take part if I am online around the time.
(Maybe its a good thing to ask people to idle in a chat channel created for the purpose around that time, so you don't ahve to schedule everyone ?)

Hey again,
well its business related but more focused in regards to management. But I will not deny that analysis of the interview will therefore enter the marketing realm , as all issues regarding a firm producing a consumption product relates to the marketing concept.
In an attempt to keep you interested and try to convince you that, although I am entering into the academic field of marketing (but again with the focus on management) I want to give you two quotes that I am working with to give you some idea of where I am heading.
The first one is a classic, and is dated back to 1776:
"Consumption is the sole end and purpose of all production; and the interest of the producer ought to be attended to, only so far as it may be necessary for promoting that of the consumer"
Adam Smith - The Wealth of Nations (1776)
The second is so as to be on the same page regarding marketing is another classic within the field:
"the key to achieving organizational goals consists of being more effective than competitors in integrating marketing activities toward determining and satisfying the needs and wants of target markets"
Philip Kotler (1997 - amongst others)
Therefore the issue of marketing reveals that by giving your perspective as the consumer (or the target market) would better allow CCP to fulfill what you feel is lacking.
But again, this is more in the field of management rather than marketing, I just have to admit that these two fields are of course closely related. I also wanted to point at the common misconception of marketing that its objective is to sell something you do not actually want (although many practice this misconception) instead of its true goal is to understand the consumer and to fulfill his needs.
I hope I have not alienated you with the connection to marketing.

Prolly gonna save it for master thesis since it will be huge

I wanted to back up the player. He is doing this with CCP's knowledge and blessing. While it is not an official project, we will be seeing the results. So, for those that are wondering, this is legit.

You could probably address how the the internet in general causes participants morals to change, using Eve for specific examples.
Plus, you would be able to use the classic Penny Arcade theory in an academic paper. Normal Person + Audience + Anonymity = total F***wad

WOW! Both constructive and helpfull! Im sure the OP values your highly thoughtout input and friendship.
OP. Bad news is my bird got an "On-call" flight (cabin crew) this morning, good news ... for the first weekend in ages I get to play EVE! If you feel I can contribute anything to your project, please feel free to convo me. Probably best to do it earlier on Saturday, the general flow on days like this for me is to start striaght after DT finishes on a beer or two  towards the end my English is closer to some obscure African language
