There are times when a week or two passes between Dev Blogs and there are times when we post two Blogs in one day. The moderation team and I like to keep Blog and News announcements stickied for two or three days before taking the sticky off. We also try to keep the number of stickies to five or less for each forum so the first page isn't cluttered. Occassionally, there are posts like the FanFest and Store order processing, that need to hang around for a while.
Then there are times like the past eight days. Five Dev Blogs and five new News items hit the EVE Insider page and to post stickies for all of them would push other threads down even further.
What does this mean? For the interim, the displayed posts per page has been increased from twenty to thirty. This will allow us to add an extra sticky or two to the top of the forums without pushing other posts to page two and beyond. In the future, there will be other forum changes made that will make your forum experience more enjoyable.
I will also be consolidating some of the Blogs and News Items into a smaller number of posts for the next few days.

We tried to get you, but you were busy joining another corp, so we went ahead and did the change anyway..

That's one of the things planned for future coding. We're looking at ways to make an 'Announcement' forum that is 'read/reply only' for players, but 'read/reply/new post' for the Devs, GMs and ISD staff. Increasing the posts per page by 10 is an interim step. We will most likely retain the 30 posts/page after the coding is complete.

From the feedback that's been received so far, it looks like the posts per page count is going to stay at 30. As for adding a user selected default posts displayed, forum search feature, and other goodies, the forum software is in need of replacement. The current version is not as robust as we had hoped.
