Lots of players suggesting new ships.... Lets take a survey :
If you could pick one class of ships to add too... Which and why ?
so here is the format: (my choice)
* Tech 1 BS (new), cause the existing ones are old and new ones would be crazy fun once again.
(and no I want the Death Star cause we all do )

3rd tier BS here as well (200mil price, more focussed on tanking and what the races currently do less - say caldari got a gunship, minmattar got a dedicated missile boat and amarr got a droneship - not sure bout gallente - a sniper ship?)

tier 3 bs gets my vote, a slightly more specialised tanker yes, and caldari rail boat for damn sure .

More tech 2 cruisers. Like Fast Attack cruisers. Low sig, good firepower and ewar, low tanking. Thats my desire :) "Speak quietly and carry a big torpedo."

I vote Tier3 battleship. I imaging them having better defence. We do need a ship that can solo lvl4 missions. Some say lvl4's are not made to be done solo. But then what are lvl5's and 10/10 complexes for?
Tier3 ships should be a mix of tier one and two ships. For ex.. Caldari -> missile/EW, Gallente -> Large hybrids/drones, Amarr -> armor tanker/RoF, minmatar -> sniper/missile.
Ofcourse they are not gonna be as good as two ships, but a mix, so that it can play both roles depending on the setup. But the best part is that it will have better defence.

Id rather see more new Battlecruisers, Destroyers, new Frigs, a new T2 role for the unused Cruiser models (Arbitrator, Celestis etc) If needs be id love to see more Bcs based on his designs.

Why is everyone wanting to put a missile boat on the Minmatar? Ugh, god Im glad I'm flying Gallente BSes.

EDIT: Carriers are coming, so I'll say Tier 3 BSes. No Dmg bonuses, cept maybe RoF, just better tanking.

Fast Attack Cruisers would be sweet, basicaly a scaled up version of an inty would be crazy awesome.
More tech two in general, An Inty on the Tristan and Incursus and kessy, ect. an Assult frig version of the Kessy or breacher. None of them nesicarily better than the others(except that standard "it does this better but this worse" stuff) the one cruiser t2 class w/ two hulls is part way ther already
Hybrid ships and tech two counterparts(real sort of endgame specialization stuff) sort of like faction ships, Amarr and Caldari or Minmatar and Gallente gang up to make a ship or 5, belnding the strengths(and weaknesses of each race), basic t1 versions req'ing lvl 4 in both skills(cruiser or frig or whatever) and hybrid ships at 1(new skill probalbly rank 3) and tech 2 requiring lv5 of each race and lv 5 hybrid whatever. They get 3 bonii base(each normal skill and hybrid)

I think that there should be no more tiers for now. Anyone who played Elite will agree that it would be great to have some more ships in every class. Each race has two sub-races, so it can easily be supported by the backstory.
eg: 2x Rookie ships 4x Industrials 4x Transports 12x Frigates 4x Heavy Assault Frigates 4x Interceptors 2x Covert Ops 2x Destroyers 8x Cruisers 4x Heavy Assault Cruisers 2x Logistics Ships 2x BattleCruisers 4x BattleShips
That's 54 ships per race, 216 ships in total. Before you include Jove and Factional ships. So you are probably looking at closer to 250 ships in-game.

I say tier 3 battleships as well.
Now that Minmatar/Gallente and Amarr/Caldari allied, I'd love to see some technology exchange. E.g. An Amarr BS with 3-4 Launcherslots, an EW bonus and heavy tank (*coughNoriathsImpalercough*), a Caldari (Gank?) Gunboat, a Minmatar Dronecarrier (?), and a idunnowhat for the gallente.
A close second to abovementioned tier 3 BS would be hybrid ships between the newly allied races. E.g. A Gallente/Minmatar and a Caldari/Amarr BS (or cruiser or frog or whatever), that'd require both skills and'd be something new, or interesting. A bit in the direction of the faction ships that already require two ship skills.
Third place would be T2 BS. But please god, no Super Heavy Assaults or anything. More in the line of command class vessels.

A missile cruiser, "Heavy Bomber"-class would be very cool.
Imagine this : A squadron of golden "Liquidators", Amarrian heavy bombers, swoop down on an unsuspecting gatecamp. They ripple fire six torpedoes each from their missile racks and start making evasive maneuvers to avoid the frigates swarming towards them from the enemy fleet. The pilots start using their ECM to break locks and evade fire as they move into warp.
"Liquidator" Amarr Heavy Bomber. Hull : Arbitrator class Role : Heavy Bomber Special ability : Able to fit external torpedo rack, Bonus to ECM efficiency
4 highslot, 2 turret, 1 launcher 5 Medslot 3 Lowslot
Base speed 300 mps, weighted so they can achieve 1200-1500 mps with MWD. Resists like the Bombers, ie not as good as a HAC.

Not a good idea at all. I mean ccp always goes forward, they dont stop just to make some changes, they create new and make changes. New stuff will always come, we can only tell em what we want.

the PvP'er in me would like to see a mobile shield generator vessel (capital sized) and the carebear in me would like to see a Mobile Refinery (capital sized)
I alsways thought a medical vessel would have been nice. BS sized, can have pods dock with it in battle to give podded pilots somewhere safe to sit.
Can also be used as a taxi service.

Bs sized medical ship you say... i like the way it is now, i mean you can fit almost any battleship for "medical" use.
I do like the idÚa of pods being able to dock into a friendly ship. Sounds good.

t2 pods - with random low power jumpdrives 
when ur ship explodes, ur pod jumps to a random safespot in the system - and ur safe 
but u still gotta get out of a system full of enemies

ya i have to vote for tier 3 bs's but i dont agree that they have to b wat each race does less, but yes a caladari gun boat is needed. Cargo ships, new ship type hybrid between cruise and industrial ship, possibility to equip with medium weapons. capacity 1000 m¦ to 1800 m¦ and 2 or 3 hislots. good for trade mission...:p
heavy hunter can be equiped with 1 medium gun and 2 small gun...need to train interceptor skill and heavy assault ship,it would be a crazy hunter...

Battlecruisers that follow real life thinking on them. Battleship sized guns with cruiser armor, and better then cruiser speed. Amarr Fast Battlecruiser "Ragnarok". Ship bonus's. An overall bonus of -90% to large energy weapon grid reqs. Then a ship bonus of -10% to large energy weapon capacitor needs, and +5% to ships velocity. Have the slots 4-high, 3-med, 6-low. base gird of 1200mw, and cpu of around 400. Have base speed about even with the fastest tech1 cruisers. This would allow the ship to mount 4-mega pulse lasers, but not allow it to tank very heavily.
It would be a cheap long range firesupport ship. Would outdamage most cruisers, and be much faster then bs's
Teir 3 battleships would be a welcome addition also. I like the idea of the caldari gunship. Another would be an improved apoc. Improve the shields to be similar to the apocs aromr. Give it a boost in CPU and switch the slots around some. High could have 8turret 3launcher. Mid could go from 4 to 5 slots and low could go from 7 to 6 slots. this would allow people to more easily shield tank if so desired, and the extra launcher slot would help tons during missions or agisnt frigs. This would follow the story line of combined amarr-caldari ships.

Tech II Battleships are being designed by engineers of the Amarr Empire, expect them to be released in 6-18 months, depending on the technicall difficulties that show up. They will not necessarely be better at hunting these evil pirates that threat our people though. That's not our current plan, but it is subject to change.

Tier 3 BS's sound nice.
Also I would opt for the "change" concept, make the ship differant from the usall type of craft.
A Caldari BS with guns and more lows being my personal choice.
