I've recently put up a POS in a 0.0 system. All well and good. Claimed sovereignty. Next downtime, we were delighted to see the alliance flag on the system.
But the downtime after, it vanished again, and not returned. We've checked every other moon in system, and we're 100% certain that we're the only POS. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a bug involved, or is there something we've missed? I've put a petition in, but I get very pessemistic about response times from those.
I guess I'm wanting to know if we're the only ones with this problem.

I appreciate that there are bug hunters aware of the problem. I still have this nagging itch that my POS is eating more fuel than it should though, reducing my margins substantially.
Oh well, I suppose I could always go and take the tower down and wait, but ...

Unfortunately, whilst this is pretty certainly a bug, i'm prepared to bet they'll be unable to tell when it _should_ have been properly soverign flagged.
Oh well, maybe I'll be bankrupt by then, so it won't matter :)

As of a couple of days ago, I appear to have soveriegnty again. Which has me delighted, certainly.
Is this a general fix for the problem?

Display glitches I can live with, for a 25% fuel reduction :)

Originally by: Dryxonedes Sae Ok, i'me a dead set n00blet to even the thought of setting up a POS... You get a 25% reduction for claiming sovereignty of a system, but if you choose not to, then does your station just not show up on the map? i.e. Don't take sovereignty, and essentially have a covert station?
Correct. Actually, your POS doesn't show on the map, but your system _does_ get flagged as 'sovereign' (so gives away that there's one _somewhere_ in system :)

Originally by: Dryxonedes Sae Lol, ok thankyou. So you can be temporary stealth :) Until someone with a dread finds you, comes along, nukes your POS, and you cry when you come online next
Sometimes these things happen. However, even a dread is going to have a time taking down a well defended POS fast.
