Hi, I've been away from eve for ages and upon returning I wanted to see how a couple of corps were viewed that I was interested in joining.
The first is The Priory which I understand is a pvp corp down Stain way in 0.0
The second would be Shinra, I'd heard a load about them in the past but believe that there have been changes since when I can remember them.

if you dont know who to join there's really only one choice there - Shinra.

The Priory - used to be pirates, then part of the coalition i believe (with mass et al) and have now joined Stain
Shinra - ex CA, members of 5. Big corp, big mouths (no offense meant but u guys do talk a lot  ) and big guns from what ive heard

Priory was a pierat corp afaik that joined "the Coalition" and when the coalition merged back into stain they came along. Never fought with them or against them but I havent heard any bad things about them. Guessing they can pull their weight.

Long story short about us?
left CA when that ended.
Conquered Period Basis.
Had a long campaign against Fountain Alliance with BoB up in fountain core.
Went back to period Basis for a while.
Left back for Curse to Start the Five alliance with Black Omega Security, Supremacy, Black Reign and ATUK.
Been pwning ever since \o/
Recently joined by M. Corp and TTI in the five.

The Priory - Former pirates. Now in SE.
Shinra - One of The Five, which isn't really five anymore because there are more than five. There's like seven. Or was it nine? But they are The Five? Understand? Bah. The Enslaver is a noob.

wow thanks for the quick replies guys.
I suppose for sake of argument if I posted teh rest, Shinra would still come out on top? With mainly Shinra peeps I'm expecting a completely unbiased answer ;)

Come out on top of what? Most Tritanium in the hangars? Most Lvl 4 Agent missions in a month? Largest safe spot collection? That sort of thing?
Or were you talking about ice mining, because that's like on a whole other level n' stuff.

A bunch of miners in the Coalition of Empires alliance. Lost among other things, 4 barges, an indy, and a raven in Derelik yesterday.

Is this from the recruitment forum? because most of that is just copy-paste spam (JOIN MY CORP!!!11 type of thing)
Do more serious research on corporations and alliances before you decide which to try to join.

Hi,
I look after Shinra's Euro time operations. We are a corp based around pvp and team work. We log our kills here if you are after statistics. A lot of our members are very proud of our corporation and are very involved in the game, thus we build up a some what intense relationships with some of our enemies, this leads to a certain amount of banter.
We have shed around 150 members over the last 5 months, 75 of which were, 25 of which were members that fancied new challenges, and 50 of which were none team players who were shown the door. Although our numbers have changed our effectiveness has not as highlighted by our killboards.
In the past we were part of the CA, a heritage we are proud of we stayed till its dying breaths. Since then we have held our own regions standing alone, and formed friendships with a few long time advisories as a result of mutual respect. Currently Shinra resides very content in [5] with some old friends and some new ones. What we have planned for the future, I would prefer not to discuss.

...dunno about shinra but we at CLS are proud of our 600-sized corp and our master and soon-to-be EVE emperor CYVOK.

althou I still consider shinra one of the top pvp-corps

The priory i recall didnt used to be a bad corp i remember being camed in by them for around a week and a half so i wouldnt say much about their social lives but i havent heard much about them since where as Shinra are more ure big style fleet corp with lots of numbers and active chats.
Personally i would go for shinra out of the two lots of good guys there they always make me welcome if im around provided you dont screw them theyl help you and teach u stuff u might not know even if ure a experiance pvper.
Provided you can deal with enslaver that is :) who im told gives out free ravens so time to join!

The Priory is an x-pirate corp, started by guys from Carebear Exterminators [DUI]. I breifly fought in a war against them and found them to be competent.
As for Shinra, as an x-member I can say they would be the better choice. You just have to watch out for one or two unsavory characters
