Celes Apoc Deathstar Ind. EVE Marshals P.I.E.
Those 4 back in the day were pretty darn effective. Think Celes and PIE are the only ones still going strong in the role.

I'd say PIE too as they called me a 'heretical pirate' and told me to 'leave' Amarr space 'or' something like that '.' __________________

There are no anti-pirate corps in Eve.
There's only people that shoot back, and people that run. _______________________________________________

I cant agree with you....Ync is antipirate corp for sure. We fight them if they are more than -5 and we have also some wars with pirate corps, just because they are pirates and we anti. But i have to say also that we like pirates, they make eve so interesting. We just try to play our rule...

I like to think the Cult of Cthulhu is still quite heavily involved in anti-pirate activities, or more specifically hunting down and destroying dirty, dirty outlaws.
I don't want to turn this into some sort of contest, but to prove a point that anti-piracy does exist as an occupation we have destroyed the following ships in the last 2 weeks ALL belonging to pilots who are below -5.
1 x Armageddon 6 x Megathron 2 x Raven 1 x Scorpion 1 x Tempest 1 x Typhoon 1 x Zealot
As you can see, there's plenty of them about, mainly because of the map changes. The pirates seem happy with the new camping opportunities, and we're certainly happy busting apart their camps.

Edited by: Gift on 21/07/2005 21:15:16 From My Personal Experience:
Oberon Incorporated The only corp that I've found (anti-pirate) that would always come to fight, little smack & honor thier word.
Hadean Drive Yards Long ago I had loads of fun with them sending 5-10 frigs/cruisers after my battelship. Very Brave Folks. (Though they would never talk to me & that made me )
Oblivion Systems Loot has lost plenty of ships to these guys, though I think they are in it more for the killing than any higher calling.
Honorable Mention: To the corps in the "Parts & surrounding systems" To the Corps in the "Kubinen & surrounding systems" Both areas where very hard to hold on to.

Most "antipirates" I've run into gate camp the gates every time a low sec guy head through. Then they'll hunt them down etc. etc. Most that I've seen are just guys who will only fight with the golden ration or a five guys on one. I lose quite a bit of respect for people who use those tactics.
I mean theres really no need for all that gate camp and blobbage. Just bring one ship, same size as mine and ask in local.

Obviously I can't speak for all anti-pirates, but what you're saying is quite the opposite of what I'm used to encountering. In my experience, most times we jump in on empire gate gankers with anything remotely close to an even force, their organization completely falls apart and they either put their warp cores to use in a frantic effort to save their own arses, or totally fubar what *should* have been a routine gank.
Exhibit #1 (BNK blockade last week) 1 battleship and 2 HAC vs. 3 battleships. 2 bs killed, 0 losses.
Exhibit #2 (TSBS blockade several days ago) 2 battleships, 1 HAC, and 2 ceptors vs. 4 battleships, a ferox, and a HAC. 3 bs + 1 HAC killed, 0 losses.
The fact of the matter is there are skilled groups on both sides of the law, and arguing over who won't fight at even odds is rather pointless. |

Edited by: Skywalker on 22/07/2005 06:54:00 I tried to come up with the names of some anti pirate corps...i failed. To be honest we haven't had that many big encounters with them.
The ones that have caused most havoc is probably mercanary coalition, although they might not be explicit anti pirates
