This made me read two pages of random Derisor thread in half-assed attempt to cross-reference the posters, and in hindsight i wish i didn't. Head hurts now and need to lay down... :<
Probably won't find all of us in there. I for one practice avoidance when I see a new Derisor thread appear.

Just occurred to me to respond to the OP. Hah, page 4 and all.
Anyway, provided I'm on that list of 23 you secretly horde to yourself, I would like to think I don't hammer down anyone's ideas. I'm open-minded to the ideas of others.
One thing I've noticed is that some people (who shall remain nameless) absolutely refuse to accept a counter opinion, and will (to use your terms) "hammer" down all opposing opinions without giving even the slightest ground. That usually creates adversarial situations that nobody enjoys.
If people start a thread, be ready to have someone disagree with you. If you can't handle that possibility, then just lurk.
