This thread's pretty difficult to navigate for a newbie like myself. Has all of this information been compiled into a less "Chaotic" writing? It'd be nice if I could read about all the Empires/Races/Corporations without having to shuffle through eight pages every time I wanted to find something out, quite possibly to spend all that time to find nothing.
Just a thought.

I've opened this thread for exactly that purpose, to gather information. No one compiled all this info yet, so the one who will do it will have some work lying ahead - that's how it goes.
You'll have to have some patience though, before this is all done.....

As short episode I guess the PRM will be mentioned as womb for Ushra'Khan, then again the PRM waws set in motion by the whole Khuumak affair.
I think this affair somehow split the Mataris into those who actively and aggresively opose/attack slavery (today many of them Ushra'Khan) and those who seek more diplomatical and economical means to free the matari slaves.(A part of them is now in Eclectus Matari.)
(I'm not sure but I think before the forming phase of PRM, PFoM (which joined PRM) left CA and a bit later Oracle.)
The meeting of me and Randuin MaraL before and while the PRM time might have spawned what was those three RP sumnits.
(I carried the Beyond (Pilot Business) Idea/Project with me around since Jumpgate trying to bring more hard coded things forcing the people to partially do roleplaying without knowing that - aka more interaction with the universe enforced or provided.)

Guys-I didn't have the time to read through all the posts so this may have already been asked...
Why not make a Wikipedia just for EVE where contributions can be made in an open-source model? That would REALLY be THE resource for EVE players.

ive been playing since castor. i might not be able to remember everything, but im sure i can help. plus ive got some old corp members.....they all have white beards some have played since beta i think....
An unofficial corp would be rather redundant. People can simply post here, or eve mail me if it's really needed :P
Eventually i want an out-of-game way of reporting this kind of stuff, but i'm working on that.

What happened? When did it happen? Where? Who was involved? Why did it happen? Why is the event SIGnificant?

That would mean that people need to move from their own corp, or make an alt - but the alt would need at least a cov ops or inty for mobility and limited survivability (accidents can happen), and this presents another hurdle to take.
Reporting events can be done by a participant aswell, and fraps of the bigger events are almost always available for review.

That is correct, almost.....
I was CEO of Oracle, in the absense of Sarkos. The majority of Oracles members wanted to go back to empire to fight PIE and their friends.
At that Time PFOM, had left CA, to pursue their ideals back in empire.
And they contacted me, when they wanted to form their Minmatar alliance, to see if Oracle wanted to form up behind them.
I as CEO didnt want to leave CA, as i had labored far to long, and had so many friends within the alliance, to just leave it.
I said to Tyto, if i recall correctly, that i couldnt make that decission(and if it was up to me,Oracle wouldnt leave CA), they then asked to speak to my XO's....Me knowing well the frustration, some of my members had over not being able to rp, and fight in empire, called an Oracle meeting.
I presented PFOM ideas for them, and asked them to debate it, but i also made it clear, that i would not stand in their way, if they choosed to go back to empire.
I would step down as CEO, and matari warrior, and join another corp, near the core of CA.
Oracle's XO.s choosed to go back, and i stepped down, and joined Vengeance of the fallen.
There was no hatred between me and Oracle, but i was kind of sad, since it was my first corp i ever joined in EVE, and we had made some great history in that corp.
I still remember me, flying in my rifter from Poinen in the forge to Molden heath where sarkos greeted me, and Einheriar Glad, and welcomed us into Oracle, our first alliance "the molden heath alliance", our fights with space invaders and M0o, and our epic struggles against PIE, and our united front with the Rogue Jovian generals against an assorted fleet down near stain, all oracle members in stabbers, against the first BS in game, we lost 15 of them that day, damn im getting misty eyed here, better clear it off

I might be able to fill in some information about beta and pre beta piracy, back when you could count the number of pirate corporations on one hand. Also reveal some unknown things regarding Xtinction working for Endless when even Endless' own members didnt know it. Stained and Myself are the only two I know of who are still around having been in Xtinction.

Right now i'm waiting for some more detailed accounts of people, which i'll put together soon. Interviews with people might follow. The first result (beta history) will be made public in a month or 3, if everything goes to plan, and depending on how much material there is to go through.
I don't do status reports like this often, so you'll ahve to sit tight for most of the time :)

Strangely enough that is kind of exactly why I left PIE (my corp from day 1) to stay within the CVA when PIE decided to leave CVA to concentrate on Empire wars.
Fortunately for me PIE and CVA are still good friends and fighting the good fight against the terrorists (so I still fly with my old friends on a regular basis)...

Okay PIE history - a lot of which has been linked via Sarkos very nicely
This was written at least a year maybe a year and a half ago.
It features many of the highlights of PIE's earlier years and was mostly written by me although not all has judging by some of the typos on the last one...
It covers foundation, merger with 1st Praetorian Guard, Memorial Service for the Empire, Battles with pirates in Sarum Prime (then low sec space) many many battles with Minnies, the evolution of minnies from Oracle to PRM and then finally Ushra'Khan from our perspective...

I find this to be very unfair and the amount of ships you guys took/destroyed was 10x what the other dude who did the same thing managed to get and your event lead to quite a few people quitting eve all together cause they didnt know who was fof.
I think you win the award of best reason to hate pilots you dont know with that little story, hands down.

Read down to see the reason.... POS's couldn't be destroyed because you could keep refilling them in reinforced mode. That's why they took to that method.
As for the other thing, it would help if you'd say what you're talking about.

We're comming close to the EON #3 release, which includes some very insightful Beta experiences. I'm always looking for more though, so if you find something, don't hesitate to contact me.
I'll be starting research into early retail very soon, the time frame is roughly the first 3-4 months after may 6th, 2003. I'm looking for everything relating to the period, not just m0o related incidents or big names. By this time i will need to find an economic expert for this, since that part of history should be recorded aswell. Any help would be appreciated!
