First kill of an Imperial Apocalypse
GM Ravenwing¦s frozen corpse
History of the Imperial Apocalypse and Armageddon, and complete coverage of the Amarrian Championship prizes
Originally by: Trevedian There were 4 Impocs given out when MASS's team won the Amarr Championship, that much is true.(I was in MASS at the time and fought in the championship on a different team)
1) Grikl was a no0b and lost his soon after he received it, killed by M0o.
2) Ecliptical lost his in a fleet battle with SA versus CA, this was before u received killmails, and whoever killed prolly didn't even know that it wasn't a normal Apocalypse. (Ecliptical showed me a screenshot of him losing the Impoc) (And I remember discussing this with him over teamspeak the day it happened, this was prolly kept under raps to prevent CA from gloating that they had killed an Impoc)
3) Kileak still has his Impoc.
4) This is the tricky part that not many are aware of... BlackViper wasn't very active and gave his Impoc to Ecliptical, since he felt the Amarr champ should have one.
Then here is the twist, Ecliptical sold BlackViper's Impoc to Elisium Dammar who then sold it to someone affiliated with Aralis and Imperial Dreams for 10 billion isk a few months back. GHSC may have received the ship through in this way but I can guarantee that there are only 2 Impocs left in-game.
Elisium Dammar had loaned me his Impoc several times and I was seen at Yulai DED-X by several witnesses in it. I think I know as much as anyone about this topic, so rest assured there are only 2 in-game.(Ask Vegeta, DigitalCommunist, Skylander they can vouch for me)
GHSC may have 1 Impoc but I know that in their last heist they stole a Imperial Armageddon and not a Impoc. Kileak still has his Impoc to the best of my knowledge.
As for the BIG lotto Impoc that was given back in a ceremony right after it was won, that was a scam imo and since it was only "Loaned" temporarily until Amarr Rp's gave it back it shouldn't even be mentioned. That event was a blight on EVE.
I can say definitively, there are only 2 Impocs left guys... Sorry
Originally by: Tyrrax Thorrk Yeah, there are only two Imperial Issue Apocalypses left ingame. I have one, GH-SC have the other
Originally by: Tyrrax Thorrk There are still four Imperial Issue Armageddons around, Icarus Starkiller has one, Entity has one (Con'Mal's), Molle has one, Detaitiv has one (think he may have quit tho).
Originally by: Khan Farshatok There were 1 gold magnate and 19 silver magnates handed out (I think, might have been just 7)
They were prices in the amarr championship. 5 teams, each consisting of 1 champion and 3 wingmen, that made it to the final rounds, were awarded. The MASS team, Ecliptical, Kileak, BlackViper and Grikl, won that tournament. As such, Ecliptical was given the gold magnate. And all other 19 were given silver ones (or might just have been his 3 wingmen + champions in the 4 other teams).
Ecliptical later (6+ months) sold it to Tyrrax Thorrk, who lost it in combat vs several m0o members.
Also, the 4 members in the winning teams were given Imperial issue apocalypses, and the other 16 were given Imperial issue armageddons.
*edit* oh, and Eclip had a planet named after him, and 3 moons named after his wingmen.

Kileak takin on 8 battleships in 1 Imperial Apocalypse
Originally by: Istvaan Shogaatsu The most critical difference between the Imperial Apoc and its other iterations, is the fact that it has a whopping 3,000 more base grid. It is the only Amarr ship able to facilitate a crapload of tachyons as an offensive weapon AND a complete armor tank.
Originally by: Lucian Alucard Also yes as being a former THEMM member and someone who took on that IMPOC when Kileak had it we engaged him with 8 bs 2 apocs a gankageddon and 5 Ravens and he held tank long enough to pop our amar damage dealers and chew through my sheild tank befor the rest of the gang got the hint and followed me into warping off. This was when having 12mil sp in gunnery made you a demi-god and well in that thing he was. And yes my tank was anti-amar so I will never take one of those things on with less then 10 people.
Originally by: Lucian Alucard From what I recall the IMPOC has an 8th low. He had 8 modulated megapulse since this was pre nerf and he had 3 named 55% hardeners,2 vestements,1600MM rolled tungsten,2 heat sink 2s and mids were filled with cap rechargers. His tactic was to attack the Amar ships first and since he knew the pilots had no tank he knew he could handle them now when it came to me he knew I was the FC from what I can tell and focused everything on me,I warped out and so did the rest we lost a geddon from what i recall but the rest of us were in either low structure or armor. Ravens back then had no chance against a armor tanked apoc especially against someone who had spent two years specialising it. You have to realise his skills atm by todays standards aren't that remarkable but back then he had 12+ mil sp and literally the best mods in eve on that Impoc.

Robbery of Ubiqua Seraph
Originally by: Istvaan Shogaatsu Greetings, everyone – it has been some time since I last stood behind a podium and made a public announcement, so you’ll have to forgive me if I’m somewhat out of form. The reason I stand here before you is to announce that my mercenary outfit, the Guiding Hand Social Club, has completed its most ambitious contract to date.
Our target was assigned to us many months ago – Mirial of Ubiqua Seraph. Our task was to carry out that which the GHSC has now become known for – to utterly demolish Mirial and bring all who followed her to their knees in one fell swoop. For those many months, we toiled, secreting our operatives among her ranks, steering her organization through a number of insidiously engineered events meant to engender trust and divert their attention from where it should have been.
Early this morning, our hard work bore fruit. Executing a meticulously planned, thoroughly flawless concerto of simultaneous corp-hangar heists, attacks in open space and facility invasions, the Ubiqua Seraph came to know the wrath of the GHSC first-hand. The result shatters any previous records for sheer scale of such an endeavour:
Hostile assets acquired:
- Modulated Deep Core Miner II BPO - Covert Ops Cloak II BPO - Armageddon BPO - Prophecy BPO - Malediction BPO - Arkonor Crystal II BPO - Scordite Crystal II BPO - Numerous lesser tech II BPOs
- A few billion ISK in minerals. - 717 million taken from corporate wallet. - Two billion taken under the guise of a loan from the executor.
Our net gain from this massive heist is roughly estimated at over 20 billion ISK.
Hostile assets destroyed:
- One Amarr Navy Apocalypse. - One capsule, belonging to Mirial, known to possess a head full of +4s. - One dream.
Total damages inflicted are estimated at close to 30 billion ISK.

"Regarding the mass killings in Yulai last night (3rd of March 2004)
As a lot of you are aware, a certain corp willingly exploited a fault in the game mechanics and managed to kill over a 100 people in the supposedly secure Yulai system last night. We have decreed that those who were the recipiants of this heinous crime will be fully reimbursed for their loss. If you are one of those who lost your belongings and still haven¦t petitioned us, please do so and we will see to it that your possessions are returned to you. The exploiters have received a ban for their efforts and anyone thinking of following their example should be aware that the same fate awaits them. - The GM Team"

Hi
i was wondering if it could be added a section for the Guardian-Vexor and Opux Luxury Yatch in the same way the Imperial Apocalypse and Magnate ships have been described.
As far as i know, there are only 2 remaining Opux, and about 3 or 4 guardian-vexors.
Also any interesting "gallente" legends to be told?

I may still have some of my old chatlogs and info from the old Orion Federation alliance during the CFS-FA war. Orion fed was a small new alliance that had moved into CFS space and ended up getting involved on FA's side of the war. They had an arangement with FA to hold the two stations in Period Basis for FA in exchange for the use of the region. Lots of infighting and drama ensued, a merger, and then a breakup all in the space of about 3 or 4 weeks. If you're interested I can writeup what I remember from Teamspeak chats and dig for some of the chatlogs I have.

When exactly was this? Speaking in terms of smuggler gates and cfs disbanding, etc.

My guess is that it was at the time of CFS disbanding. As I remember it was late October 2004 when CFS atacked the Tpar-g station and the war between CFS and FA began. I was out there that day and about 6 hours later the Orion Federation (later known as the "Silent Shadow of the Orion Federation" alliance after merging with another aliance) was fighting on FA's side with the agreement suposedly negociated with FA in the folowin days. The arement was essentialy for us to become the caretakers of the region, and allow FA to keep their military up north. Unfortunatly the Orion Fed. really couldn't defend a wet paper bag, and there was constant drama between the rival factions in the alliance. Halfway into November, the alliance efectively disbanded when OMC Inc. left the alliance displeased at being the only people defending the stations, takin losses and getting no help in return, especialy from all the new recruits that one of the other councilmembers had brough into the alliance. Another memorable administrative tactic near the end was to apoint a 'Warlord' to handle all of the problems with supply and comunication that we were having. His name was Manic Miner, and I believe he lasted a whole 12 hours before OMC efectively vetoed him. Near the end FA contacted the alliance in a convo that I was privilaged to sit in on, on behalf of my corp. Basicly it consised of an ultimatum to the alliance to shape up or ship out, and about a week after that we ended up leaving. I'll see about E-mailing you the log of that later today, if I have time. I hope this is some use to your project, and if you neeed anything else, I'll see if I can remember.

I've read through the entire thread and I firstly wanted to thank you all for the wealth of information found here. I've spent many a happy hour reading through this while I should have been working. You really first begin to understand the uniqueness and appreciate the scope of the game once you've read about huge events like the VA civil war, the GNW and the goings on in Curse/Stain.
That said, I must have missed the article mentioned in Reiisha's quoted post above (not to mention any other articles that may have been published) and would very much appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,

Ok lets set this straight...
I never lost an Impoc.
I sold both the Gold Magnate and the Imperial Apoc, BlackViper still has his, it's tucked away in another account of his, Kileak still has his, and the person who bought it from me still keeps his in Yulai where I delivered the ship.
Now why is this? Well let's just say I was in major trouble in RL, and at the time used it to survive, the account itself was lost, after a while when it was banned.
Almost everything Trevedian said is incorrect. I did sell the Gold Magnate as well.
I recently wanted to rejoin the game, it is too bad my main account is gone, but then again, I'm an old war relic, and this game has changed much. In any case, I'm around to respond to any questions.
So in the end, there are 3 impocs around still.
Anyways... Hope this clears it.

I opposed a wiki at first, but right now i'm thinking that it might be a good idea to have one after all. Not in an entirely open form though, i still fear people are going to spam it with useless info or change other people's pages for giggles.

Edited by: Ecliptcal on 05/09/2006 10:41:31 I think the idea in principle is very good, it just the "purple monkey dishwasher" effect that happens when u get the information from tertiary sources.
(PS: the comment about "Purple Monkey Dishwasher" is from the simpsons, where one person starts with something whispering from ear to ear, until u end up with that)
I still have all logs from the ceremony and screenshots of all my ships (even though they are no longer with me)
In any case, us "old warhorses" are still alive and kicking, and closer than u might think, in other accounts, so it's just easier to request the info on the forums then actually post incorrect stuff.
I said this now "WE ARE WATCHING" lol or better yet "WE'RE OUT THERE" for those who like X-Files :)

What you need is actually a slight extension of a wiki..
Instead of linking articles to words/phrases like a wiki does.. you should link them to dates.
1. User selects a year, month, and if they know it, a day 2. User enters an article jus like a wiki 3. If relevant, user can 'link' article to one or more alliances 4. Article is live and editable by public
If I find some time soon I can maybe create this for you.. isnt that complex.. if youre interested, evemail me sometime

That's less of a problem than you think. With a good wiki engine like mediawiki (the one that was developed for wikipedia) you can change the page back to an older version with a couple of clicks - all changes are kept in a page history. If somebody makes a stupid change - just change back to the version before that.
If wikipedia can survive open access and some defacement attacks - so can an eve history site I think. :-)

A date can also be seen as a word - so no pressing need for an extension I think.
Originally by: Aaron Static 1. User selects a year, month, and if they know it, a day
Would work already, with a standardized date format - let's say 105-07-04 (= 4th of july 2005, IIRC eve dates are AD -1900) - you can look for 105-07 and find all pages for july of that year.

Yup - all of that is standard wiki features.
Originally by: Aaron Static If I find some time soon I can maybe create this for you.. isnt that complex.. if youre interested, evemail me sometime
Any improvements should be welcome - but I don't really think anything is needed.
I'll set up a fresh mediawiki coming weekend as a test site for doing an eve history.
There are even some nice looking graphical timeline extensions available for MediaWiki.
And with a univetse already as vast and deep as eve a wiki is IMHO the only way to get this done. It just needs similar "rules" as wikipedia for fair articles. So people shpuld be encouraged to write like "XYZ alliance claimed that their miners were ambushed in ..." instead of "The evil hordes ganked our miners ...".
