The DED had been alerted by the Matari Tribal Council of their intent to have their delegates travel tonight. In fact, we were given over a month of notice. Of course, the DED were not aware of Goonswarm Federation's status as Imperial Loyalists. This will be ammended and added to our records.
With regards to the technology used on board the vessels involved. The CONCORD Assembly is joint funded by all four of the major sovereign powers as a peacekeeping force. The most solid and reliable technologies from all four empires are put to good use to build and maintain our fleet as well as keeping it at the cutting edge of combat capability. Our technologies are created partially from the technologies you saw in use this evening. As a graduate of the School of Applied Knowledge you should know this.
We're not Imperial loyalists. We are a large organization and there are Imperial loyalists among GSF's ranks. Secondly, DED also uses Jovian Tech, if I am not mistaken. And part of the agreement to use Jovian Tech is that it not be shared. I've seen (and used) modules from all for empires that are used in their navy shps, as well as pirate faction modified modules. Heck, I've even used modules modified specifically for officers of said pirate factions. Never have I come across modules of that potency before. Based on the fact that they were able to be fitted on a battleship (with a comparably low reactor output to say, a carrier) that leads me to conclude they were Jovian in nature.
So we're not allowed to use capsules? Guess I better turn myself into my local D.E.D. office. http://www.dust514.org - the unofficial forum for everything DUST 514 http://www.dust514base.com - the blog site with everything else DUST 514 you need

There once was a handsome Intaki, With a reputation for being so snarky. With ruthless panache, To the thread he did dash, To make fun of the Goon heirarchy.
"Vea," cried he with a smirk, "You're acting a bit like a jerk, Upon the gate to Hek, Your ship turned into a wreck, Did you seriously think that would work?"
And lo, t'was like the night being sunny! Rarer than a bear hating honey, It did take a while, But Vea betrayed a small smile, And said "Actually, that was quite funny." Mane 614

So are you.
If Miss Vea's comments on the actions of a few of our pilots lead you to assume that our entire organization are Imperial Loyalists, and you don't immediately dismiss that as laughable in light of our...colorful...history, than I'm forced to assume that maybe the CONCORD's Intelligence division isn't all it's cracked up to be.
'Course, with that little sneak attack in Yulai a few years back, maybe there's some truth to that.
In any case, as part of and on behalf of GSF leadership, I'd like to make sure the record is straight. The alignment and loyalties, or lack thereof, of our membership do not represent the alignment of our organization. At this time, GSF remains independent and unaligned. Should that change in the future, you'll be the first to know. To be fair to the OP's question, this was the scene at the gate one jump from Pator after the event.
I dare say CONCORD presence was indeed a wee bit higher than normal.
Addenum: Alizabeth Vea wrote:We're not Imperial loyalists. We are a large organization and there are Imperial loyalists among GSF's ranks.
Interesting, considering that there was probably about a dozen or so Imperial loyalists as part of that escort fleet. The Empire supports the CONCORD assembly & follows it's laws. Meditate on that for a bit. EvE Forum Bingo |
