Double the size of Heavy Drones and then double the size of all BS dronebays.
Then cruisers that shouldnt be using them would find themselves using more appropriate drones.

Kind of a big nerf to the Ishtar and Thorax, dont you think?
Personally, i'd balance the dronebays on ships more, and also some bonuses on ships.

No other cruisers can use BS weapons that easily. Besides, Thorax drivers whine about any proposed change to their dronebay. So I figured it made sense to just change the drones. Surely 10 mediums cant be that bad.

I love watching Thorax pilots squirm on these threads. They know their ship is ridiculously overpowered compared to the other ships, but they're so paranoid of it being nerfed.
Anyhow, not a bad idea Sobe... but I think it would be just easier to axe the drone bay. Who cares of the Thorax pilots whine, it needs to happen. Give the Thorax a bit more grid in the process and tell em to shut up and deal with it.

I thought it was established ages ago the CCP got the drone bays on the vexor and Thorax the wrong way round, but just left it? Swap em, it makes sense.

Well I tried talking about boosting the other cruisers, but Thorax whiners complained there too. Infact I would wager that they complain anytime the Thorax is mentioned in any thread.

how could they get them the wrong way around when the thorax has always been this way, and when they did a cruiser review (about 8 months ago?) they changed the vexor to a drone carrier, before that it had very little todo with drones.
they did play around with lowering the thorax drone bay at this point but left it in (if you thinkt he missle whining was bad lol it was nothing compared to the whinage that the htorax was getting nerfed).

If the thorax is overpowered, and the thorax hasnt been changed, nerfed, or hit by any recent nerf/boost, in the past...6 months? maybe more? except for the 50% boost in plates recently that is... Why do you only whine about thorax being overpowered now? The answer is Missile Nerf and Opportunity, whiney lil bastards, i dont think ccp will give a **** about you!

Uhm... the ability to fit a 1600mm plate while still putting out several times the damage of other cruisers just through its DRONES... yeah... thats a problem.
As for the 50% hitpoint increase to plates, I'd hardly call that a small buff. It allows the Cruiser to have over 4000 hit points. Now, you could say any other cruiser can do this as well, but at a SEVERE reduction in their damage output.
The speed and agility increases to cruisers are also most useful to the Thorax because it can multiply those extra few m/s with the MWD it has a bonus for. Lastly... Tech 2 drones? Yeah... being able drastically increase your damage output at no fittings expense... thats not a buff? Give me a break.

When the Thorax was initially going to have its dronebay cut in half, I supported the idea...granted under a different name.
