This is really bothering me. There doesn't seem to be any other thread left addressing this issue, so I'm taking it upon myself to bring this up again.
This really annoying. I'm the CEO of my corporation, there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to delete corporate EVEmails.

Being in a 180 man corp full of some of the biggest spammers in the game (read me and max) lags mails to hell and back whenever you click on the button :/

Maybe a new role is in order though:

Haha good idea!
I have a sneaking suspicion that the devs might have accidentally broken the ability to delete corp mails while attempting to fix that exploit where you could send corp mails to other people's corporations.

Hmmm. Pre-CW it was possible to delete the corp mail with the good old "Delete" button on your keyboard. 
Haven't tried it since CW, tho. Might have been changed.

guys there is a way to delete them now. its the optional patch that is out. go to patched and its right there. if you took the time to read the news/info at character selection you would not have needed to post a pointless topic.

The optional patch only fixes the petition system. Not the corp/alliance mail bug.

Actually, the best way to implement it would be to allow everyone to delete their own copy, and not for EVERYONE else in the corp.
BTW, the new optional patch does NOT allow you to delete Corp Evemails. I have tried with my CEO Alt.

signed, we need this sooo bad. And please set it up so only CEO's or director's can delete the mails. In our old alliance we would have people deleting them once they read them, so no-one else could see. This should be CEO/Director only responsibility

Make the option soo people can erase only there copy not every one
its was a pain telling people dont delete corp mail after you read it becouse you will totaly erase the email for others
same problem in alliance mail

knock knock CCP simple allow CEOs to delete corp evemails - why is this topic being IGNORED by CCP its leading to massive lag for all players and CEO?ALLIANCE leadership frustrations
It couild also explain the rapid increase in lag in recent days ie not being able to delete corp evemails.
So i advise all corps to raise the amount of evemails then send - frustrate everyomne then they will .... sign .... and something will be done.
Petition as an exploit why.... quite simple really its a way of lagging youre game out and it exploits u by raising youre lag and hence making the game harder to play.

They posted somewhere that it was a deliberate change, and they're monitoring it to see how it works out.
I dunno how long they need to monitor people being thoroughly ticked off, before they decide to change it back.

It's not being ignored, I was out in 0.0 today and came across a tinfoil hat with the name 'Ragnar' on it in palettes, out of it I retrieved an imploded rabbit and this cryptic note... 'The corporation e-mails and records are another matter. The data will probably be modified in some way, so that information doesn't pile up... Don't hesitate to write though, if this should fail to be issued in the next few days.' The author and parts of the message were too badly smudged in bunny entrails to be made out...

Yeah this needs fixed ASAP... Too many idiots are sending random thoughts thru corp mail and there is no way to delete them.
