The Vagabond and the Deimos. Harpys are also pretty popular.

Yes. Dreads will allow us to do selective strikes against specific POS's. The MC will field a Dread fleet in the future. -

Dear Seleene,
One vs one fight. Harpy vs Enyo. Which do you want to be piloting?
Despite the fact that I've never tested it, I have my own very strong opinion. What's yours? ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ GDBT is recruiting! |

That's not easy. TBH, it would completely depend on the respective set-ups of the ships. IMO, if the Harpy is running a Gisti shield booster, then it's going to pound the Enyo to scrap 9 times out of 10. Even if not...
I'm a total Harpy fan anyway. I've never run into anything that made me nervous except for this one PA guy in a Wolf that raped me pretty bad. We both warped out at almost the same time with hardly any armor left.
So it's kind of hard for me to give an ojective answer. I have a lot of corp mates that can fly Enyos, but the last time we went out we had five Harpys in the squad. -

I cannot answer the first question as it would violate a lot of laws and, as everyone knows, the only thing more dangerous than a mercenary is a lawyer.
As for the second question...
The 'biggest' contract we've had would have had to be against XETIC. In terms of sheer size and area covered, that was a bloodbath. It was a very busy time.
The 'toughest' contract we've had would probably have to go to the original 'VOTF' contract BDCI & FRICK had last year. Back when EternalDark was running the show, every big fight we had was a roll of the dice. There was lots of action and it was well fought almost every time.

Well, I work out quite a lot for one thing. Being a pod pilot one tends to get cramped up so I find it invigorating to go for a nice run late in the day. A healthy diet is important in this regard, but you won't find me endorsing some nonsense 'food plan' or 'diet' anytime soon.
I also make it a policy that 'downtime' in between contracts allows myself and my people a chance to unwind and relax so that we are fresh and ready for action when the next job comes along.
Mostly though, I just try to stay above the politics of EVE. Good mental health goes hand in hand with physical health. As shown at the end of the last MC promotional video, we always try to look on the bright side of life. -

Dear Seleene,
Has the MC, or any of the member corporations, ever accepted a contract that went so badly that you considered it a defeat or a loss? If this ever happened, would you ever terminate the contract early, or would you continue fighting to the death until the end of the contract? Would you refund the fee? ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ GDBT is recruiting! |

No. To my knowledge we have never "lost" a war. It's a relative thing though. To us, "winning" means a happy client. To most people though, it means getting a high kill-ratio against the enemy. To date, we have always succeded in both catagories. The only expection was FRICK's 'Burn Eden' contract. It was a three day numerical draw, which always seems to equate to a massive victory in Burn Eden's opinion every time the subject comes up.
Originally by: Nikolai Nuvolari If this ever happened, would you ever terminate the contract early, or would you continue fighting to the death until the end of the contract? Would you refund the fee?
We would never pull out of a contract so long as our client wished us to continue. While we have no 'money-back guarentee', if a client ever rightly felt we had performed below expectations, it's entirely possible that we might return all or part of our fee. This has never happened though as we take a lot of pride in our job and all of us work very hard to give our clients a reason to smile at the end. -

There have been a few offers, but nothing ever came of them. If someone were serious about it though, we'd certianly consider it. -

If I might point out, as with all contracts, the specific details are workable. If someone did want a war "test" against their own corporation/alliance they could set ground rules for the war like mutual no-podding or a full on fight to the death etc etc.
As sel said though, nothing has come of any contacts regarding that though feel free to contact us at the following holo-portal.
Sel, if I might ask a couple questions, firstly what is your favourite sandwich and secondly do you think the MC will have a new contract soon?

No. We have ice to mine and veldspar to haul. I want to try out my new T2 Omber crystals. In short, I seriously doubt we will be attacking anyone soon. Especially not this weekend. Nope. -

LOL!!! You would ask me that, wouldn't you?
I'll be honest - Balistic Void drove us freakin' nuts during the FoE war. He also took out the Crow I'd flown since the day BDCI was formed in a one on one. It was a dumb mistake on my part due to me thinking I could survive one more volley from his Claw, but then the T2 280's pretty much wrecked was was left of my ship.
I did come back in a Raptor later and tagged your ass pretty hard, tho! 2x 150mms with Lead ammo have a bit more optimal than the Claw's artys!

I think seleene was probably referning to Ballistics ship in the masculine, not Mz Void herself.
Though personally I think of most of my ships in the feminine, as they're a uppity bunch of vicious, expensive to maintain *****es. . . . much like the female membership of BDCI. Like Sivona, Latex . . . Seleene . . . *grins and winks*

The biggest issue is one of distance, of course. It's forced us to go into smaller, more mobile ships. While this has always been our prefered method, it's still required a few adjustments.
Unlike many, however, the MC has never been localized to any one area of Empire. We are used to making a dozen or more jumps to go after a single target so, at least mentally, it hasn't really affected us as much as I first thought it would. Our pilots have adapted well to the new changes and we are doing fine.

Assuming there was a place in our contract schedule to hit a single corp, of course. -

Dear Seleene,
I am considering a career change to merc in the near future, what is the best advice you can offer for a potental new merc ?
1. Is it best to specialize in a ship type eg AF or HAC ? 1a. Is it best to be able to pilot mutli race ship types ? 2. To have a wide range of skills to fit various mods ? 2a. To have high lvl skills 4 and above ?
Any other advice would be greatly apriecated
P.s Could you possible recommended some professional merc corps of a Non-pirating nature, as these i consider the best way to go for a new career.

AF's and HACs are the mainstay of the modern merc force these days. I would suggest picking one racial path and maxing it out before switching to a different one. I was late in specializing and it's taken me extra time to get up to the same level as some of my corp mates who chose a dedicated racial career path earlier.
Just remember that most professional merc outfits are team-oriented. It's rare that you will fly alone and if there is a hole in your skills, chances are that someone else can fill it when it's time to go hunting.
I would recommend a corp such as Battle Angels INC. if you want to get in on the start of something good or KIA if you'd rather join a more established unit. AFAIK, FRICK is not recruiting ATM and BDCI has gone back to an invite only policy after having taken almost a dozen new pilots onboard in the last few months.
Good luck to you! -

Hello Seleene,
Do you believe, as I do, that the day of the Battleship being the do-all of a modern fleet has past?
As a specialized Cruiser pilot, I find the Cruiser, both HAC and T1 with a good selection of mods is now the most commonly used ship type. Add in AF's and Inty's and you have a highly mobile, highly efficient strike force.
In my opinion BS's are now used for sniper ambush situations mostly.
What are your views?

Fear the power of the T2 150!!! ::huggles his T2 150's::
Sarkos's question brings up an important issue for me. I am the fleet commander of a small new alliance and I'm building a fast, strike oriented, T2-frigate-heavy fleet. Do you think that Tech I cruisers, other than EW Blackbirds, would have a place in this fleet? I've been trying to encourage my newer pilots to go for T2 specialization rather than focus too much on cruisers, but I'd love to hear your input. ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ GDBT is recruiting! |

Seleene,
As one of your biggest fans and a fledgling Mercenary can you tell me what limits you place on yourself and your corp when it comes to fulfilling a contract? Do you do only pvp or would you do infiltration, corp theft, POS theft, morale destruction, etc? How do you feel about these other GHSC style methods (my new corp is using these as we speak).
Also how often do you turn down contracts? I realize your calendar is full with contracts but what other reasons do you turn down contracts for besides capacity?
