Evening.
Currently the R&D agents who hand out T2 agents are located in high security empire space only. This generally seems to be a relic of old times as CCP's exodus policy was, to my knowledge, to get more people out into <0.4 and lawless 0.0 space.
So, may we see more research agents soon, also for pirate factions? It seems like a logical next step to me.
Could a Dev deny or confirm this pretty please?
It would very much help to plan ahead, many people could prepare themselves including me and get good faction standings in 0.0.

They may steal designs but they also change them after doing so, that would require research people.
Pirate Factions do need RnD agents. ------------------

Like Josh implied, it might be a nice entry point to reverse engineering.
Would be good if they were in, but a little different to the empire ones.

The lower security status of the system also reflects the level of concord presence. SO by heading to lawless space you could do research such as more efficient blooding techniques for the blood raiders and other similarly frowned upon activities.
Boosters, human testing, brain surgery, take your pick. -

Im sorry to burst your bubble, but.... Just about all my R&D agents is located in low sec from 0.4 and down to 0.1.
Which makes it quite interesting sometimes to do the r&d missions with less than desired people about

On that first point I might have been wrongly informed.
On the second point of pirate faction R&D, however - with negative security/faction rating you cannot do R&D. I would therefor like to see pirate R&D agents - for example a high rank Gurista R&D agent could hand out blueprints for Dread Gurista Siege launchers - or the odd shield booster blueprint - also as blueprint copies. The developers mentioned, they might introduce blueprintcopies into R&D too.

You can't currently build implants, but this would be a great way to introduce the tech 2 pirate faction implants as buildable items. It would also be a good way to introduce boosters. On the other hand, I'd really like to see an overhaul to the R&D system first, but that's a different topic. ---
