Look at this amazing and incredible new thread on a topic never before seen in GD.
Someone feel like looking up one of the many CCP Posts telling the OP he's wrong? This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

Seriously now, best sources of income? How much do you expect a 5 day old player in a Probe to make off of salvage? If that's what you're telling new players to do you might as well throw them some isk for the time wasted not learning essential skills and gameplay.
So learning to make effective use of combat probes is a waste of time? .
Also, Ninja Salvaging earns far more than any other common newbie activity (why do you salvage if the income from salvaging is not worth a newbie's time?). So it's a great way for them to get the ISK they need to do other things (like buy a missioner gank ship for when they step up to looting). This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

I'm sorry, what? How does learning to quickly sort through the multitudes of ships signatures generally found in an active missioning system for one ship likely doing a mission not teach you to scan down WHs, Sites, and ships effectively? This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

No, but Players do. That's another type of Ninja salvaging. This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.

A suspicious looking man was hanging around in the parking lot, so I shot and killed him.
What? No, that's not the horrible part.
Some punk ran up and stole my wallet out of his pocket before I could get to the body.
Why are you looking at me like that? DO SOMETHING!
That's ninja looting.
Ninja salvaging is: "Some punk ran up, undressed the body, left the clothes in a nice cardboard box for me, and took the naked body away to harvest its component materials." This is EVE - Everybody Versus Everybody.
