Once upon a time in eve you could load Cruise Missiles into Standard Launchers, hence the Cruise Missile Launcher Kestrals were born! This was nerfed about a year and half ago but afaik it is still legal to use this (as long as they were loaded before the patch), if it is not please provide links to where the devs say that it is not.
AFAIK it is illegal, I've got warning from GM after I used it. But anyway we can wait for officiall response.

 Damn I kept this for years, if it is banned hope it can stay in my hanger forever would hate it to be pinched,
Even if it is a banned item to use, it is the ultimate collecters item of times past

It's not illegal to have. It's illegal to use it. It's a collectors item now. As long as the user doesn't fire the cruise missiles, it's all gravy.

i have 2 of these  used to use them for running zyd mega from 0.0 back to empire when they were legal, did have 3, but used one by accident in a fleet battle when they 1st made the changes to launchers.

Youre allowed to use them on non-player objects was the official word quite some time ago.
Using them on players = ****ed off gm though

I killed a crow in mine, CCP didn't give me a warning, if it was illegal to use surely CCP would just click a button to stop the missiles launcing?
