Edited by: CometQueen on 01/08/2005 23:54:54 The Khanid Kingdom, not just for Lepers anymore
The Khanid Kingdom has long been considered a sub-region, an area that seems to have less to offer than the Core Region such as Essence, Metropolis, Forge and Domain. The major draw to these region of course is their galactic dominance on Trade as well as being bolstered by not only vast military faction fleets but also sovereign concord vessels keeping the peace as they see fit.
Sub-regions such as Citadel, Derelik, Kor-Azor and many others are often sparsely populated with under developed markets. Well let me dispel you about the Khanid Region. ItÆs market is in fact one of the richest in the game and it offers high sec space up to 0.0 like the Caldari connection to Pureblind.
For years Agil has served as the center of legal trade between empire industrialist and the vastly populated alliances of the ôsouthö in such regions as Curse, Stain, Omist, Catch and many others. Here the traffic creates a healthy market with vast trade opportunities.
Anything is available, and with the recent alterations of the Highway systems Agil is perhaps in the top three for systems with the most varied good available. Surrounding Agil is Ipref, Kihtaled, further is Khanid Prime and a host of high sec Ice heavy and easily mined secure systems with big easy to bookmark/insta-dock into stations. Combined with further low sec on the Edge of Khanid space and multiple access to 0.0 and Zydrine/megacyte mining not to far away. The Khanid region is optimal for any Corporation seeking to relocate to greener pastures.
But donÆt take my word for it, Travel there, look at the high demand for Minerals and the excellent selection of Goods and Items.
Not an industrialist?
Agent running has never been easier. Agents up to lvl 4 exist for various Khanid corporation including the Khanid Navy which has many search agents for you mercenaries out there.
PvP enthusiast? A multitude of alliances can be accessed from the security of Khanid Space, Five, Stain, Ascendant Frontier, Red Alliance, FIX and others. DonÆt like alliances? Their high traffic through the regions before and after the Khanid Kingdom provide a multitude of opportunities to activate their clones.
Piracy your thing? The most infamous choke point into 0.0 is but a few jumps from Agil and many others that are become much more dangerous now are also close bye. Why you donÆt even have to be a pirate to enjoy gate camping and ganking adversaries, anyone can do it and with ships purchased or constructed in the Khanid Region only a few jumps away.
Still want to visit the important regions? Well the forge has always been the home of a vast network of technological advances that is easily shared with the Khanid Kingdom. In fact the rout between the Khanid and Caldari Space do not deviate into dangerous low sec at all allowing for afk or otherwise safe travel.
The Khanid Kingdom has everything in abundance, so take a chance, move from the older decrepit region into the new upcoming Khanid Kingdom. The locals are friendly and will appreciate your business.
For more information seek out your local travel agents or come on down and see for your self the splendor that is the Khanid Kingdom.

Id guess the Khanid kingdom wishes to attract tourists and boost its market.
Of course as a word to the wise, you generally want to gloss over there being pirates around. Its not good for publicity.

On the contrary, the presence of famous corporations like m0o has drawn plenty of thrill-seeking public to agil and its surroundings!
Of course, m0o has gone now, but that doesn't deter the more 'rough' crowds. And, if you destroy something, someone has to pay for a replacement, leading to plenty of opportunities for shrewd business men to take advantage of!

to be honest there are not really any pirates "IN" the Khanid Kingdom, Concord and the Khanid Navy tends to blow them into dust. All the important systems are high security.
But as is the case with all premium real-estate in this universe, where there is isk to be made there are pirates to try and taken it. The 0.0 near by is really the only place you have to "deal" with pirates and the alliances in the area tend to keep them down most of the time.
The pirates are certainly the under-dogs here and only one time have I ever been close to being destroyed and that was from two Burn Eden Ravens in Catch and I was in my little Bestower. Fortunately proper set ups will save you 99% of the time.
Celestial Apocalypse Blockades are more likely to kill you than pirates down here, but you can usually trust the Alliances not to mindlessly blow up neutrals like myself. Perhaps IÆll start a program of offering Insta-jumps if it will help generate trade and travel. A few jumps into Catch and perhaps insta docks to Agil or beyond.

WTB: whatever it is that you're on.
Unless you're genuinely not aware of the FIX alliance rules of engagement, a policy that is, as far as I'm aware, pretty much standard amongst all the alliances?

I stand by my statement, I have very rarely been shot at by Alliances. of course I don't go sit next to their gate camps or follow them around either.
I also tend not to be around battles if I can help it. I am just a simple trader and trafficker and usually only Pirates take pot shots at me. To date no FIX pilot has fired upon me and i have given them no reason too either. I'm sure if I warped into a battle fleet ready to fight some other group they would fire at me, assuming I was an alt spy or some such. But then i don't do that, and any smart pilot would as well.
and of course some times things happens, ships are lost, it is the reality of space. fortunately the Khanid region is rich and brisk with trade. I can easily replace lost vessels and so can anyone else.
Come Check it out, it is worth the trip.
