hello
i know it is still possible to do lvl4 missions after the patch. what fitting would i need for lvl4 missions? is there any way i can do them without shield hardeners? becouse i am to lame/ dont know wich hareners i need for witch mission. i am now doing lvl3 missions with this fitting: HI: 3 assult launchers ( named)- 3 heavy launchers( named) - 2 NOSF MED: 1XL shield booster II - shield boost amp - afterburner - 3x cap recharger II low: balistic control - 4x power diagnostic system II
if sombody could tell me how much skillz/witch fitting/hardenres i need for the lvl4 missions that would be nice 
(ps: i did search eve-i and this forum for raven fittings just can't realy find what im looking for)

I still do lvl4's. I wouldnt try it without hardeners 
My fitting is probably not the best but here it is
High - 2 Mega pulse - 4 cruise 2 siege mis - 2 kin active 2 therm active 1 xlarge cl5 1 large extender II lows - pdu II's (all)
the kin and term are for guristas and i use the extender instead of an amp as i seem to last longer with extender than an amp?!
I can do all but the hardest solo (drones, silence and GE)

pulse laser on a caldari ship??
i would prfeer some rails instead of pulse.
u need the cap for the shields much more

I go in and out of fields with new settings. for little friggies and cruisers I use named heavy missile launchers, and TII small railguns. They do at least as much dmg as torps or cruise missiles. Not sure about fitting a painter as well, cant hardly see any change in dmg.
For the large ships I go back and fit named torp launchers and heavy rails. Not much difference before the patch, beside the lesser amount of ISK you get for it.

Amarr ships don't generally get damage bonuses, so lasers have better base stats then the other guns. Perfect for putting on ships that don't have their own turret bonus.

Can deal with almost anything & tank most NPC groups. Only the really big named BS cause me trouble & for them I just fit as many BCS in low as possible to kill the little blighters.

A 50% (for one hardener) reduction in dmg from a specific type vs a 20% reduction in cap recharge time...
For example, if you're fighting guristas, 2 balistic hardeners and 1 thermal is enough to make most spawns easily tankable without worrying about your cap reserve.

i have 3.2 mil skill points, most of em in my raven.
i can do lvl3 ones with my eyes closed since my cap olmost recharging faster then my XL shield booster uses cap.
but the problem is i never know wich harderner i need for wich mission. if sombody could post a tabel here or knows a good up-to-date website?
i do missions for caldari navy.

Guristas do Kinetic and Thermal which u will encounter the most
Best to look at www.eve-i.com under object explorer and pirate drones

That's where experience comes in handy. Ask corpmates/peeps in local. Ask on the forum. If all else fails, scout in a shuttle or pod.
Silence is a room of drones, a room of mercs and a room of sentry guns. Best tank for silence the informant (raven), IMO, 1 therm, 1 kin, 1 em. Or you can swap out hardeners after each stage. This is a pretty tough mission.

i just finishd the missions wothout using hardeners, my shield was abover90% constant. i can do all lvl3 missions wit my eyes closed without hardeners. but becouse the lvl3 ones are way to easy for me i wand somting more challeging (however you spell that)

the one flaw in that logic is that amarr ships have a much higher base cap to be able to use large lasers and tank. other races ships dont have that cap level and to try and use large lasers will seriously affect your tanking ability.

Agreed , spechilay in caldri ships were u need to main tain full cap to boost shield booster spechilay Xl T2 which is a real cap sink even at shield compensation lvl 3 "What ever that doesnt Kill me just makes me stronger" |
