Just curious - does anyone play eve in unconventional places? (i.e. work, school)
I play it on my laptop in class sometimes - I sit in the back row and my professor thinks I'm taking notes lol |

Lucky bugger... our internet connection was too flaky when I went (2009) so Eve was unplayable...

When you start going to grown up school ( the kind you have to pay for), you might soon come to terms with the fact a game is much less important than spending the rest of your life in a welfare line.
And FYI, your prof doesn't care in the least if you pay attention or not. He still gets paid at the end of the week.

Once played Eve on my laptop, in the train on the way to a gaming convention in Germany where there was an Eve Stand.
And I'll probably try and play on the train to the airport and at the airport when going to Iceland.

i play at work all the time. My work takes me all over the US, i have played in about 13 states. Mostly in hotels, drunk, in the wee hours.
This past summer i was on a surfing trip in Costa Rica. Mostly i went for the partying and the boozing and the women, but our hotel had internet, so Hey, why not?
I got pneumonia once, and it got bad (rare strain) so i had to spend some time in the hospital. For like a week (post OP) i thought that the hospital was a Caldari space station. I was absolutely convinced that my Merlin was parked outside my room, and i kept thinking, "They hide the airlocks really well around here." I have to admit i used autopilot alot in the hospital.
Still the strangest was one day i had to help teach a class at a university. They gave me internet access for my laptop, and mostly i was just sitting waiting to talk. I ended up logging in and screwing around. When it came time for my presentation i minimized EVE and gave a power point, with the game minimized the whole time.... The music was subtle, so subtle in fact, that i didnt realize i had left it on, and pumped it through the classroom when i plugged my comp into the overhead. Afterwards the other teacher asked me about using music for political power points.... Yeah.... |

So the professors can get fired for having a class full of morons? That doesn't seem right.
On topic. I sometimes play at work, though I've had to make holes in the firewall to do so...... |

Actually I'm almost 30, I'm on the presidents list and I graduate this semester.
You can still pay attention in class and take down key points you need to know while doing some mining lol |
