Description: A forum-based PVP system that underlies ongoing discussions. :)
1. Under Settings, you can 'outfit' your character with a single ship with modules that you choose, that are available to you as if you were in-game. For instance, not having Heavy Assault Ships would make it so you couldn't pick to be 'piloting' a Deimos.
2. You create a thread, posting about whatever topic you desire. Underyling it is your forum 'ship'.
3. Someone responds with an idea that counters your own. Underlying their post is their forum 'ship'.
4. Players can rate the original poster's thread and the replies to others, choosing to apply the rating against the message the reply was in relation to, or against the reply itself.
4a. A point against the replyee acts as damage to that person's forum ship. Hit is calculated as it would be in-game taking into account resists and skill bonuses, and random calculations for misses.
4b. A point for the replier acts as a remote armor or shield boost, depending which type of modules you have fitted on your ship.
5. Players replying to replies (using the quote system) engage their forum ship in combat against that person, and are subjected to the same rating system as other replies.
6. Destroyed forum ships cannot rate other replies in the thread (but can still reply to posts in the thread).
This wouldn't affect anyone's in-game character, but would be a kind of fun forum-based "PVP" thing. They could even have a killboard on the site to list the top participants.
Just a fun silly thing. Could be a horrible idea, or it could be neato. ;)

Ok...
1) Stop!
2) Close your web brouser.
3) Log into Eve.
4) Play the game.
Do so until ideas like this disappear.
