I'm curious if CCP will ever make a "final" Clone type.
I am not advocating such a thing, nor am I condemning it (I could argue either way), but I am curious if such a "final" clone has been concidered.
If there ever is a "Final" clone type, I sure hope CCP also adds the ability to unlearn skills.

With a final clone type I would quit or never undock.. simple as that.

That's a scary thought Spot. If there is ever going to be a limit on learning and the need to unlearn the game will definetely loose its charm.

Or "final" clone as in it hold ALL your skillpoint no matter how many you have.

I'm not THAT far yet so I'll complain later, it seems people are far enough ahead they'll always update before I reach max clone.

If you're way past the maximum clone, what do you have to worry about? You still got craploads of more skills after penalty than most players anyhow...

I'm a relative noob, so this is not something I have to worry about, but how does the game choose what to remove if you clone is not up to date. If it just takes the last things you learned, then this can cause serious problems for people with a max clone. For example, new skill releases that has dire combat implications. (Like the new missile skills) Now every time this player is podded, he has to relearn the new critical skills. As mentioned I don't know how the game handles the skill loss when clone is not updated, so maybe this doesn't apply.

Dr Caymus has surpassed the current "final clone" but he never undocks  personally i think the only people who have passed the current level clones are total carebares/research alts

It's certainly an interesting topic .. if we can't unlearn or trade skill points, then we need better clones.
Pretty funny about Dr C .. 4k in gunnery skills.

Well, a good mining/refining/production alt could be up there too...
I know a few, and they do go into space.

its still quite annoying. I once lost 2 days of my curise missle 5 skill due to an outdated clone.
I know its only 2 days, but setbacks are setbacks and they eventually add up

I think right way is to make a really "All Skillpoints Holder" Clone with a cost about 500kk-1000kk
That clone will be really expensive but it has got ultimate stats :)

500kk?? You mean 500.000.000? I.e. five hundred million.
If CCP did that the PvP crowd would go bonkers and trip over each other in their haste to write long acid dripping whines in the forums.
And rightly so I think.
Because that would go beyond the means of most PvP players. Getting podded would be prohitively expensive and would only lead lame combat tactics even more so than currently is done.
