If this is a "feature", as Eris previously stated, then it's the most pointless, frustrating feature in the history of EVE. A lot of people have said that "Delete Corp Mail" should be an assignable role, and I think that makes perfect sense, but I won't even ask for that. I just ask that one person (the CEO) be permitted to delete corp mail.

Yea, that would be a usefull feature. Acctually there is absoloutly no reason why this shouldn't be in the game already.

You _used_ to just be able to press delete if you were a corporate director.
Unfortunately they fixed that, and my corp inbox is getting rather full.
I'd live with that, if my game didn't lag when I got an evemail.

Yeah, executors also need to be able to delete alliance mail, nice that it doesnt get deleted anymore, but its a pain in the backside when you want to convey an important message over alliance mail and its clogged up with some 30+ other senders :/

I would'nt mind so much if it did'nt take 5 mins of ultimate lag to open up my alliance mail.

I still don't understand what "feature" CCP were hoping to introduce, by not letting us delete mail. Can anyone think of anything that's gained by it? Cos I can't.
Well, except for huge lag, of course.

It was intended to work as following: if you get enough mail the older mails will be removed and make room for new mails without the need of someone deleting them.
Why they introduced this I dont know, but they are working on a new system that is more user friendly.
