Aww man... you guys are giving me nostalgia about my Brutix. I need to go fit another one.
I lost my most recent one when I tried to solo a Auto-Cannon Tempest [RA]. Warped in @ 20km's and unfortunately, was too far away to deliver any damage.

Personally, I prefer 1vs.1's to fleet battles. I have a few memorable ones.
Geddon:
1. Just before Thundercats withdrew from the NSA, we were all running around empire looking for war targets to kill. My setup was a gankageddon with 2 backup array's so you needed 6 Multi's to Jam me. This happened twice, exactly the same scenario:
Find Scorp, lock... and fire, watch in amusement as the notify tells you they are attempting to jam you (for some reason they never get around to shooting back, or activating any defences). Pop.
Brutix:
1. The fight against DrunkenOne and Co., as he has already outlined it.
1. Floating around 0.0 doing some routine patrols, I happen to see a hostile enter system, and leave. The system had 6 gates, so I took a guess and went through one of them, the guy was ahead of me. I insta'd to the gate, and there he was... a Geddon, approaching my position, 10km's from the gate. I was pretty sure, that would be the last thing I saw. But of course, with a ship named "LEEEEEEEEERRRROY", I was left with little choice but to engage...
I target, MWD in, web, scramble, set orbit, unleash drones, and open up my gun ports (sortof all at the same time - hot targeting 4tw). The geddon of course targets back, unloads drones, and proceeds to do... nothing . He went pop, I had full shields and armour. I then web and scramble his pod and demand ransom. He ignores me and tries to make a run for the gate (which is now 3km's away). No answer in local until he is 2,600 from gate so I pop him.
If anyone knows "Alumin nation", please ask him if he was AFK... to this day I still don't know.

My favourite types of engagements are when the enemy is trying to set a trap for you... kill the bait and get out before they react. An example that comes to mind:
While I was still in m0o Corp. I was running around minding my own business (as usual), with a couple of the crew a few systems ahead and behind. We notice a contingent of Supremecy 1 jump ahead... I follow, and watch as local clears out except for one person (a textbook jump-in trap). I go to said gate, lock onto the remaining guy, align for warp and blow him to pieces. I'm back in warp on my way back to the other gate before the gate finished activating.
This type of engagement happens to me quite often, and this is definitely the way I like to play it. Get into the thick, eliminate your primary target, if you can go for a secondary, and get out when you run low on structure. Repair, come back for more. PvP heaven!
