Oh this is entertaining, the two heretics, one believes he isn't and the one who knows he is are fighting. I wonder who will win? However as much as I am interested in finding out, get a room you two, your banter isn't required on a topic reguarding the Societies newest enlightenment techniques.
Good job Mosignor! I wouldn't have nearly the courage or fortitude to put myself through endless hours of trying to enlighten them. Should I ever capture one I'll let you know. -----------------------------------

You have but to look in the mirror.
Unfortunately with these techniques of 'Enlightenment' the one most important thing that God gave mortals is not just overlooked, but consciously ignored.
The free will to choose their own path.
Without free will there can be no ultimate weighing out of the Soul because it has been forcibly molded into a form that, despite fervent belief or not, is completely hypocritical to the true word of God (whichever 'god' you aspire to).
Thus, the Monsignor violates the basic tenants of Amarran faith, and renders himself a hypocrite, if not an outright Heretic.
Life is pain...anyone who says differently is selling something. |

Minmatar, unlike you I've been living my whole life in service to God.
I admit I might not be perfect. My biggest flaw is my patience with heathens and to forgive traitors to easily and give them a second chance. But doesn't the scriptures teach us "One can repent and pray for forgiveness." It seems handing out 10k Nefantar slaves to you was a mistake. I gave you a chance for a new start and you backstab me at the first occasion you find. In the end your actions only strenghtens my position that only Amarr only corporations are trustworthy.

I can hardly see the point in this. You offered me no "Chance for a new start." Nor any kind of forgiveness. You gave that to those 10,000 now free citizen's of the Ammatar State but as far as I'm concerned, they were free even when they were in your "care". Your position was unlikly to change any time soon and I'm very sure that I have nothing to do with it one way or the other. Don't mistake me for some grovling simpleton whom needs your blessing to carry out the tasks set before me.
To correct you: Your biggest flaw is that you attach invisible strings and talk about giving people second chances while saying nothing to them about it. Then use this as leverage later on, nice try, but clearly you simply think of me as an idiot if you think I'd fall for that one. The people I respect are the ones that live their lives by this Pulgor holds up a small handbook of scriptures. As well as the ones that lay down their lives for the glorious empire. -----------------------------------

Edited by: Bastables on 17/08/2005 01:17:31 I delight in the true spirit of the reclaiming continuing onwards.
Bring everyone back to faith, back to God. Lead them out of darkness, that is our cause and mission.
Personally I bealive conversion is the best route, but in the end we are all reclaimed. Be reclaimed, and be loved

Reclaiming. Where did that come from? It is just a pod pilot fantasy.
Enslavement is enslavement.
If you wish to enlighten them, give them a pamphlet to read and then let them make their own choice.
Do not try to sugar coat your evils, I would ask anyone if they believe your excuses for such evils perpetuated upon humanity to be true. -

The term may be a pod pilot idea. The idea, not so.
It merely describes the point a slave is at when he is able to not be a slave anymore. When he is ready to no longer be a slave, but to rather be a member of Amarran society.
Does this mean he is as pure as an Amarran, not really. However, it does mean he is no longer a slave, that he has accepted God.
We cultivate the spirit of man. That is our job as faithful Amarrans.
Perhaps the Matari arent truely men, but then perhaps not.
Are they as good as the faithful Amarrans, of course not. But they can still be useful, they can do their best to work for God's glory to atone for their ancestor's sins.
That we do God's will is all that matters, and he wishes us to cultivate man's spirit.
Therefor that is what we will do, by whatever means necessary.
God is with us. |

What, why would you put a human through that?!?!?! What gives you the right to hurt and force a free willed man to thinking there is some higher power out there that is just a imaginary friends of his emperor? That is just sic and down right wrong when the federation finds out how bad it is getting in that hell whole something will be done

So, what happened here? Ammar finally run out of sub-dural pain amplifiers and neural-tox burst injectors to torture people?
You guys are slipping if you have to resort to dark age garbage like a wheel.
Or are you just saving the more interesting toys for women and children, thats more your metier isn't it?
Slavers, Evangelists, theirs no real difference, you're all in it for the feeling of power you get torturing a helpless victim. Pathetic.

A primitive religion inevitably resorts to primitive methods.
What delights me is the unease with which the realities of slavery and the methods used to enforce it are met by certain Amarrian paramilitaries. The seeds of discord are fluorishing in a corrupted religion and ramshackle empire that long ago lost its way.

Your methods of subjagating the spirit to the will of your alien god will lead you ony to the True Divine Gods of Humankind spilling you blood. Look not to the skies, but to your own mechinations to be turned against you by the Gods you call Slaves. Ex Obscurum Lumens Est |
