I had the priviledge of viewing a fight between m0o corporation and Cornexant corp. a few hours ago. I took some screenshots id like to share with you. They are from before, during and after the fight.

they fought a long and hard fight, too bad i missed some of it.. i had to dock to get a ship to be able to collect loot :)

Thanks Vegetta for the screen shots.. I came in at tail end of everything and missed most except as were leaving. Chatter in local was everyone had good time and that was one of the better engagements that went on between corps seen yet. What three different engagements in the battle.
Well sure we will run into the blockade again and need to visit you. Keeps things fun.

just so everyone knows i was on neither side of the fight, i was in a newbie ship mainly there to see a big battle, left my scorpion at home :)

Hmm, interesting, some folks in my corp reported shooting down Vegeta in a scorpion. Unfortunately I missed the dust up but maybe there was some confusion?

Notice the lack of ship class diversiity. CCP has failed to create niche for frigates and cruisers in fleet combat. If numbers are even, you better be in a battleship, which should be a lot more rare than they are now. Give the game another couple of months, all you will see are battleships.

Rofl, you couldn't be more wrong, but both corps in that fight are more known for Muscle over finesse.
3 Blackbirds thrown into that mix would have raised chaos with the other side, no doubt insuring a few more losses for one and a few less for others. Add in some heavily shielded fast cruisers equipped with blaster and autocannons to close on top of the BS's and you would have had a nightmare for the enemy.
Frigates, well a Rifter, Griffin, Maulus, or maybe a tristan would have been alright, but they'd have had to come in with the second wave (equipped with torps and blasters) and finished off any heavily wounded and warpjammed BS's.

Maarek they had scorps there which are better than blackbirds, and the chances of getting a torp on a frigate are slim. may just about be doable but you need to have high skill and the right equip and a heavy launcher, unless there is a rare M-12 that has a capacity of 10? Yould however fit a cruise missile in a M-12 so a Kestral with 4 cruise missiles would be a better bet for frig support. |

If you want stories heres one that happend quite a while ago, some of the chat is broken up as its pre local/station chat merger. I jotted some nots down to show a friend what happend. I still smile when I remember it.
Note: there are some bits in there describing things for my friends that don't have the game... yet. Also we don't make fun off TTI anymore cause we haven't seen them in ages :)
To set the mood, I had just taken out a crusier and sent another off home packing in a little fight.

wow, that was a funny set of conversations, but you are just a bunch of cheaters obviously. I mean, anyone who knows combat knows that there is no such thing as a module that can increase your shield resistance dramatically against forms of damage. I think I'll go report you guys as well....

lol, it's funny how you can slap on a couple hardeners and suddenly everyone thinks you're cheating =P
Also, why is Moo sitting just outside the station? Props to Cornexant corp for taking them on, it's just a shame Moo doesn't fight more honorably.

Again, I wasn't there but I was following the corp chat as things happened. There were a number of cruisers involved in this fight as well, the battleships were just the highlights. I know we lost at least one blackbird and an osprey.
I got on late and was 15 jumps away when the fight happened. :/ I did get to blow through the m00 blocked in FD after my corp had left though which got the adrenaline pumping. :)

Please find the 3 Blackbirds in those pictures. Please find the cruisers with short range weapons. Oh, not there? Damn, not so wrong now am I? Why use a Blackbird when you can use a Scorpion with MORE power? Why use a Rupture with autocannons and you can use a Tempest with MORE of them? There is no native drawback with using a Battlship over a Cruiser when you can install cruiser weapons on it with the same tracking speed. Fix? Make BS's only be able to equip large weapons, Cruisers only medium. That way a BS or Cruiser cant a smaller turret for faster tracking speed and close in defense.

That's not a bad idea. I know I personally use medium turrets on my battleship. I am pretty sure most people do.

ok what about 4 battleships against 8 Blackbirds then? Or shall we make that equal cost of forces? so 4 BB against 40 cruisers I think it would be? more than 20 anyway with is more than enough. I'd say three well equiped cruisers could easily take down a battleship, 2 would be a bit iffy. Just you need to organise more people wich is a bigger problem than getting hold of a single BB.
In my opinion Frigates need to be faster than they are, crusiers a little faster and battleships need to be the same or slower. Then you start having real fun with tracking targets.

Vegetta sorry about any confusion in your status in the battle. I wasnt in it,, but hearing things its obvious that you were non participant.
Oh and as for mOo outside of station. I have been told there were several seperate engagements,. The first at Stargate. Then when corn was pulling out a corn member got caught at station and had to dock,, Engagement there when corn came back to help friend out. Then another fight again either at gate or around station.
